Blue Lock Chapter 297 spoilers proved that Reo does not need Nagi to perform at his best. But Reo does not realize it yet, since he still ended up apologizing to Nagi after scoring on his own.

While Nagi is still struggling to find his ‘fire’, Chris Prince sets up the perfect opportunity for Reo, and he makes it count.

The spoilers for this chapter took longer than usual because of a holiday in Japan, according to prominent leakers on X. But they are finally out, giving us a look at what went down in Blue Lock Chapter 297.

Half of the chapter focuses on Isagi analyzing everything and two more ranking reveals, while the other half takes us back to the flashback match between Manshine City and FC Barcha.

After Eita Otoya scored and pushed the score from 1-1 to 2-1 in favor of FC Barcha, Reo fired up. Realizing they need to win and score goals to reach the top, Reo tries to fire up Nagi, telling him they will be the center of attention just like Otoya and Bachira, who had just pulled off back-to-back goals.

Nagi’s Struggles Continue

In the previous chapter, Nagi got so desperate that he was even willing to settle for assists to boost his ranking, which had dropped to 11th due to his poor performance. If he does not perform well in this match, his ranking could drop even further.

Reo did his part by finally scoring the goal instead of assisting, but we did not get to see Nagi’s comeback in this chapter.

Blue Lock Chapter 297 Spoilers: Reo Motivates Nagi, But Can He Fire Up

Blue Lock Chapter 297 starts with Reo holding the ball, trying to get Nagi back on track. Nagi realizes that he has lost his fire, but Reo is not giving up on him. He is pushing Nagi to find a new dream and reignite his passion.

Isagi’s Realization After Ranking Reveal

Meanwhile, in the present, the rankings were revealed, showing that Isagi and Rin are tied at No. 1 with a bidding price of 240M yen.

Isagi starts analyzing his journey so far. Until now, he has been adapting, learning, and reaching new levels through logic and calculation. He has won matches by figuring things out and executing plans like a machine.

But now, he realizes that no amount of logic or technique can create that inner “fire.” From this point forward, only those who can grasp that fire and act on it will survive.

The new ranking also shows Shidou jumping ahead of Barou, with a bid of 160M yen, while Barou sits at 150M despite scoring a hat-trick against FC Barcha (not revealed though) and two goals in his previous match. It seems unfair, but the auction is not looking at goals only.

Flashback Match: Reo Fired Up, Nagi Struggles

Back in the Manshine City vs FC Barcha flashback, Reo has the ball, and Nagi knows this is their last chance. If FC Barcha scores again, it is over. Nagi says he wants to be the “new Nagi” that Reo envisions, but he still can’t find that fire.

Reo passes the ball to him, but Picasso tries to intercept it. Nagi manages to hold him off using his signature move, and just when it seems like he is finally getting back on track, Lavinho steals the ball. He taunts Nagi, reminding him that this is not just a passing game.

Just when it seems like all hope is lost, Chris Prince arrives, stealing the ball from Lavinho. Nagi expects Chris to pass to him, but instead, Chris ignores him and puts his trust in Reo. “I want to see your future,” Chris says, making it clear even he does not believe in Nagi at this moment.

Reo does not waste the chance. He copies Otoya’s move and scores, showing that his ability to copy others has improved.

Nagi’s Self-Realization

Even Nagi understands that Reo can stand on his own now, but Reo himself does not see it. Instead, he apologizes for scoring, still thinking he and Nagi need each other to succeed. Blue Lock Chapter 297 ends with Nagi finally realizing that he has relied on Reo for too long.

I have to change on my own. This spirit will pave the new world for Nagi!

Blue Lock Chapter 298 title is “Alone Together” hinting that this might be the moment Reo and Nagi stop relying on each other and start finding their own paths.
