Blue Lock Chapter 296 spoilers were released today and just like I predicted before, Bachira wasted no time responding to Chigiri’s goal from the last chapter.
Not only did he score, but Otoyo also found the back of the net, putting FC Barcha in the lead with a 2-1 score against Manshine City.
The Neo Egoist League officially ended in Chapter 294, but instead of jumping straight to the new rankings, the author decided to give us a recap of FC Barcha vs. Manshine City.
In Chapter 295, we already saw Rin and Isagi’s rankings revealed, they both tied at No.1 with a 240 million yen bid.
Rin got his offer from Re Al (basically Real Madrid in Blue Lock). Now, Chapter 296 focuses on Isagi reacting to his ranking while also showing FC Barcha completely dominating Reo and Nagi.

What Happened in Blue Lock Chapter 296?
Blue Lock Chapter 296 starts with Italy’s team Ubers watching the rankings. Shuto Sendo, Oliver Aiku, and Shoei Baro are checking the screen, surprised by Isagi’s 240 million yen bid.
Baro, who was tied for No.2 in the last rankings with Shido Ryusei, watches as he waits for his own ranking to be revealed. He even says, “That’s right, that’s the No.1 I’m chasing after”.

Isagi Still Wants More
The scene shifts to Isagi, who is still processing that he is now tied for No.1 with Rin. He realizes that he truly deserves it, he has adapted, crushed everyone in his way, and led Bastard Munchen to victory without losing a single match. But even now, he is not satisfied. Sitting at the top is not enough, he wants to be above everyone.

Bachira and Otoyo Take Over
The focus then returns to the FC Barcha vs. Manshine City match. After Chigiri’s goal put Manshine City ahead, Bachira had the ball.
He easily dribbled past Agi and Nagi and scored the equalizer. Seeing this, Nagi got frustrated, and Bachira’s teammates praised him for his insane play.
Before this match, Nagi and Reo knew this was their last chance to prove themselves. Their previous performances were underwhelming, causing their rankings to drop. If they do not show their worth now, they might not even make it to the top 23.

Even if they do, they might not be starters for Japan’s U-20 World Cup team. Reo landed an assist for Chigiri’s goal, but it didn’t really help Nagi much.
The Blue Lock Auction is based on individual performances, not teamwork. Even if Manshine City wins, that does not mean Reo and Nagi will get better offers. They need to score and prove themselves.
After Bachira’s goal, Agi yells at Nagi to focus. Agi passes the ball to Nagi, but Nagi still can’t do much. Even an assist could help his ranking, but as he tries to intercept the pass, Otoyo suddenly appears.
He says he has “read this pass more times than his parents’ faces” and takes the ball away. Otoyo passes to Bachira, then runs toward the goal.
Bachira slices through Manshine City’s defense and passes it back to Otoyo, who scores! FC Barcha now leads 2-1.
At this moment, Nagi realizes something, he has felt this way before. He knows that only players who get fired up can make it to the world stage.

Nagi and Reo’s Turning Point?
Reo sees that their duo is not working anymore. But instead of giving up, something inside Nagi lights up after watching Bachira and Otoyo’s goal.
He turns to Reo and says, “Let’s do something exciting”. With that, both of them get fired up, and the chapter ends.
Blue Lock Chapter 297, titled ‘To the Future,’ will continue the FC Barcha vs. Manshine City match next week.
