Park Tae-jun is slowly setting up one of the biggest wars in Lookism. In the last chapter, Kitae Kim has been gathering people from the old generation. Some are ex-circle members, and one of them is called Gentleman, who’s from the pre-generation. They have all accepted Kitae as their new leader.

On the other side, Jake Kim is building his own group to stop Kitae. Because Kitae is now a danger to Jake’s friends and everyone connected to the underworld.
Kitae’s goal was revealed recently during the Busan arc. He wants to bring back the chaos and violence that happened during the pre-generation, the time when his father, Gapryong Kim, ruled South Korea’s underworld.
But unlike his son, Gapryong later tried to change the system. He gave up the underworld and went into politics to fix the corrupted world, but failed at both. Now Kitae wants to do what his father could not. He wants to become the king of the underworld and reshape everything.
Jake Kim does not agree with that. He respects the version of his father that tried to make the world better, even if it did not work out. In a way, Kitae Kim is the dark version of Gapryong, while Jake represents the light.
Jake has already made an alliance with Taesoo Ma (Ansan King), Gongseob Ji (Daegu King), and Seokdu Wang (Suwon King). Next, he goes to Incheon to get help there. But it is not going to be simple. Incheon is ruled by two kings, and that is the reason Jaegyeon Na is called a half-assed king, he only controls part of the area.
Daniel Park Is Back In Lookism Chapter 557
Lookism Chapter 557 begins with Daniel Park waking up in his main body alongside his second body. He reminds himself that he is not scared. He is ready to fight for his friends and protect them.
It has been a while since the story focused on Daniel’s main body. The last time we saw him properly was when he visited Gun Park in prison, trying to understand why Gun was always loyal to Charles Choi. That scene, and the Shiro Oni arc, gave us a lot of background about Gun Park.
Jinrang’s Pain and His Decision
Back in Seoul, the Big Deal crew is relaxing, but Jinrang is just watching quietly. He has been through a lot. Kitae Kim killed three of his closest friends in Busan, and now Jinrang feels empty.
At first, he agreed to help Jake Kim, but now he tells him he has no strength left. He has nothing left to protect. Still, he agrees to become Jake’s mentor, showing he has not completely given up.
Daniel Visits Gun Park in Prison
Meanwhile, Daniel (in his second body) goes to visit Gun Park in prison. He wants to ask about mastery. Gun is surprised to see him. At first, he thinks Daniel’s main body sent Big Daniel to check on him since he told the main body not to visit again.
Big Daniel opens up and says he fought someone recently who was way beyond him. He could not protect anyone because he could not break the wall. In Lookism, breaking the wall is a metaphor for reaching mastery.
Gun explains that Daniel is different. He says both versions of Daniel have a high threshold. Everyone has a limit before they can reach mastery. Some have a low one and get there quickly.
But people like Daniel take longer because their threshold is high. That also means when Daniel finally breaks through, he will be stronger than anyone else who has already reached it.
Jake Kim Heads to Incheon with Lineman
Jake Kim has started moving again. After forming an alliance with the kings of Ansan, Daegu, and Suwon, he now sets his eyes on Incheon. This time, Lineman is going with him.
The reason is not about ideals or romanticism anymore. Jake Kim knows that Kitae Kim is a serious threat. They don’t have time to focus on beliefs like before. Right now, what they need is strength and support. That is why Jake and Lineman are going to Incheon. However, they are not going to Jaegyeon Na, but the other king which will be revealed in Lookism Chapter 558, likely.
Before leaving, Jake Kim explains everything to Jerry Kwon, his second-in-command at Big Deal.
It is also possible that Kitae Kim is already one step ahead. The story hints that he might be going to Incheon as well, or may have already made a deal with one of the kings there. If that is true, Jake and Lineman might be walking into a trap or at least a very dangerous situation.
The chapter ends with Jake Kim telling Lineman to stay sharp and not let his guard down once they get to Incheon.

Summary
Lookism Chapter 557 sets the stage for a massive war. Daniel Park returns in his main body and shows he is ready to fight again. The chapter also shows Big Daniel visiting Gun in prison to understand mastery. Meanwhile, Jake and Lineman leave for Incheon.
