Ego Questions Isagi’s Final Move in Blue Lock Chapter 328

Blue Lock Chapter 328 starts with Isagi meeting Ego inside an elevator. Ego directly asks Isagi about the final play of the match. Isagi answers, as a striker, it felt natural to go for the goal.

Ego agrees that testing a new idea at that moment was fine since the match was already won.

But he also warns Isagi. Playing like that all the time can confuse teammates and break team balance. Some moves are too risky to be used often.

Ego tells him such plays should only be backup options, not his main style. Isagi understands and apologizes. But he also tells Ego that he has something important to say.

Isagi’s New Theory to Beat Noel Noa

Isagi tells Ego that he feels close to finding the theory that can defeat Noel Noa and make him the world’s best. He says Ego’s current way of thinking about soccer is not enough for him anymore.

Ego takes Isagi to the rooftop of the Blue Lock building. From there, Isagi explains his idea. He admits something very clearly. No matter how hard he trains, he can never beat players like Noel Noa, Loki, or Lorenzo with pure physical talent. Even if he lived another life, it would not change.

This leads to his conclusion. Players fall into two types:

  • Geniuses like Rin and Bachira who create naturally.
  • Learners like Isagi who evolve by observing and adapting.

Isagi says both types grow through fighting each other. When a Genius and a Learner clash in peak condition, their growth has no limit. Either one can reach the top.

Isagi declares his role. He wants to become the ultimate Learner that all geniuses want to surpass. He asks Ego to keep giving him new soccer to learn from.

Ego Reveals the God of Soccer

Ego then asks a strange question. He asks Isagi if he believes there is a God of Soccer. He clarifies he is not talking about famous players.

He means something unseen. A state where mind and body act as one. Luck, timing, and environment all align perfectly, as if guided by something beyond logic.

Ego then reveals when he was a player, he experienced this state once. It lasted only seven minutes. During that time, he reached a level he never touched again.

He says all his theories like Flow and Luck Formula, exist because he tried to understand and recreate that one moment.

Ego and Isagi Share the Same Past

Isagi listens and thinks back to his own career. Meeting Bachira. Scoring key goals. He then asks Ego what kind of player he used to be.

Ego says he was just like Isagi:

A dreamer with too many ideas.

Ego

But the God never returned for him. When Ego realized that, he quit soccer and chose to guide others instead.

Isagi’s Promise

As the conversation ends, Isagi makes a promise. He tells Ego to watch him. He says he will go and meet the God of Soccer again. He says the egoist Ego created will fulfill that dream. Blue Lock Chapter 328 ends with Ego watching Isagi walk away, thinking that Isagi will surpass him.
