Lookism Chapter 557 Release Date: Who Will Kitae Kim Kill First?

Kitae Kim and James Lee are working together again after what happened in Busan. James called the cops on Kitae back then because he lost control, but since both of them need each other for their plans, they did not stay mad for long.

James Lee wants to clean up the public world, so he went into politics. But Kitae Kim wants to take over the underworld instead. He is trying to bring back the chaos from the pre-generation era, the same time his father, Gapryong Kim, used to rule. The big difference is, Gapryong left the underworld to fix things through politics. Kitae thinks his father was wrong and believes only chaos can shake the system.

So now, Kitae wants to be the new underworld king, and James wants to be the king of the public world. Basically, one will control the shadows, and the other will control the spotlight.

Kitae Kim’s Army Is Getting Bigger

To make this plan work, Kitae is building a team. He already got some old circle members and a pre-generation fighter on his side, a guy called Gentleman. He was the first squad captain under Gapryong Kim’s second-in-command, Elite.

In the last chapter, Gentleman defeated three kings without breaking a sweat. So he is clearly on that top-tier king level. After that, the kings he beat ended up joining Kitae Kim.

But the strongest kings alive like Taesoo Ma (Ansan), Gongseob Ji (Daegu), and Seokdu Wang (Suwon) did not show up to his meeting. So Kitae decided to go after the closest one, Jaegyeon Na, the Incheon King.

Jake Kim Alliance

At the same time, Jake Kim is working on his own alliance. He reached out to the same top-tier kings and invited them over, Taesoo Ma, Gongseob Ji, and Seokdu Wang. At first, they did not want to join him either, but eventually they agreed.

So now we have got two sides forming, and both are preparing for war. At the end of the Lookism chapter 556, James Lee handed over a kill list to Kitae Kim. The list had a picture of Eugene, Reporter Kim, Lightning Choi, and Tom Lee.

Where To Read Lookism?

This release date is for the Korean version on Naver Webtoon, not the English one. The English release on Line Webtoon is still way behind, right now, it is around Chapter 546. Even though both platforms are owned by Naver Corporation, the chapters don’t come out at the same time.

After a chapter is released in Korean, it takes extra time to get translated and edited properly. Also, not every Korean webtoon gets cleared for global release right away. It depends on copyright, contract deals, and sometimes the themes, too.

What To Expect From Lookism Chapter 557?

Lookism Chapter 557 will most likely start where the last chapter ended, James Lee asking Kitae Kim who he will take out first. He handed over a list of people who know the truth about Gapryong Kim’s murder. These are not just random names. Everyone on that list is connected to James Lee’s past act, and they know he is the one behind Gapryong’s death, but they don’t have evidence.

Eugene, Tom Lee, Reporter Kim, and Lightning Choi are all on that list. They are a threat to James Lee now, especially since Eugene started a private investigation. Tom Lee is helping him with this, and it seems they are getting closer, that is why James Lee is going after them.

Back in the Hunt for Gun Park arc, it looked like Reporter Kim was running from Charles Choi. But later it was revealed that someone else more dangerous was after her. It seems like it was actually Kitae Kim.

James Lee Used Eugene, Then Turned On Him

Even though Eugene helped James Lee clear his name by hiding his role in Gapryong’s murder, James is still planning to get rid of him. Eugene gave him an out from Charles Choi and helped him become the hero of Seoul. But James is an opportunist. He only helped Eugene to remove Charles Choi, and now that is done, he is cutting off loose ends.

Now that Charles Choi is gone, there is nothing stopping James Lee from making sure no one else finds out what really happened. And Kitae Kim will be the one handling this.

Who’s First on Kitae Kim’s Hit List?

Now the question is, will Kitae Kim go after someone from the kill list, or is he planning to hit Incheon first?

In the last chapter, the King of Incheon did not show up at the meeting Kitae Kim called. That is seen as disrespect. And since Kitae wants to become the new king of the underworld, he needs to send a clear message. For that, targeting someone like Incheon’s king could be the perfect move.

If he forces someone that strong to kneel, the rest will fall in line. It is about building fear and showing power. That is how he plans to control the underworld.

There are still a lot of secrets about Incheon that haven’t been revealed, and it looks like the next arc might be centered around Incheon.
