Shangri-La Frontier Season 3 announcement is rumored to happen right after Season 2 ends. The last episode of Season 2 will be released on March 30, and leaks suggest that the next season will be confirmed soon after.
Back in January, well-known leaker Sugoi LITE shared on X that Season 3 has already been renewed and will go into production soon.

Shangri-La Frontier has been a standout anime alongside Solo Leveling Season 2 in Winter 2025, and both series are ending around the same time, Solo Leveling’s second season on March 29 and Shangri-La Frontier’s second season on March 30. This will also conclude the Winter 2025 anime lineup.
Looking at the release pattern, Season 1 aired from October 2023 to March 2024, and Season 2 followed the same schedule from October 2024 to March 2025.
If the studio C2C continues this trend, Shangri-La Season 3 could be announced soon and released in a similar timeframe.

What Will Shangri-La Season 3 Adapt?
Right now, Season 2 is adapting the Global Games Competition (GGC) Arc. At this point, the anime has covered 123 manga chapters, and the final episode is expected to adapt chapters 124 to 126.
The GGC Arc started at chapter 111 and is one of the longest arcs in the series, with 51 chapters. Season 3 will likely finish the rest of the GGC Arc and then move on to the Abyss City Part 2 Arc, though it might not adapt the whole arc since it is also 51 chapters long.
For now, there is no official confirmation, but based on leaks and patterns, we might hear about Season 3 very soon.
Shangri-La Frontier is based on a web novel titled Shangri-La Frontier: Kusoge Hunter, Kamige ni Idoman to su, originally published on Shōsetsuka ni Narō.
A manga adaptation, illustrated by Ryosuke Fuji, has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since July 2020. As of February 2025, the manga has been collected into 21 tankōbon volumes. Kodansha USA has been publishing the series digitally in English since December 8, 2020, and also began printing physical volumes on September 6, 2022. The anime adaptation is produced by C2C and premiered in October 2023. The first season aired for 25 episodes, followed by the second season in October 2024. Kodansha USA describes the story as:
