Lookism 554 Might Show Jake Kim Stopping Kitae Kim With Talk No Jutsu

Lookism 554 will be released on 8th May, 2025 at 7:00 AM Pacific Time (PT) on Naver Webtoon. In the last chapter, we saw how dangerous Kitae Kim really is. Back in the Busan arc, he already crushed both Allied and Jinrang and went for the kill. After that, a new arc began called ‘Gapryong Kim’s disciple‘, showcasing Jinrang’s backstory.

After wrapping that up, it came back to the current timeline where Kitae Kim dealt what looked like a final hit to Jinrang. But it was revealed that Sang Baek came in front of Jinrang and took the axe blow instead to protect him. Even No. 3 from Jinrang’s side jumped in to help, but he also got taken out by Kitae Kim.

Jinrang went into his conviction state and managed to push back for a bit. He actually held on longer than expected but got overwhelmed eventually. Kitae Kim then cut off Jinrang’s arm with his axe. Just when he was about to go for the finishing blow and end him, Jake Kim appeared on the scene.

The reason why Jake is there was not revealed in the latest chapter, but it is obvious he is there to save both Allied and Jinrang. That being said, it is not looking like they will fight. Jake knows he is not strong enough to take him on. Kitae Kim has more experience, more strength, and even an age advantage.

Even though both of them are Gapryong Kim’s sons, there is a huge gap between them. The last time they met was during the Hunt for Gun Park arc, and Kitae literally lifted Jake off the ground, and Jake is more than 6 feet tall.

Remember, this release is for the Korean version on Naver Webtoon, not the English one. The English release on Line Webtoon is still way behind, right now, it is around Chapter 545. Even though both platforms are owned by Naver Corporation, the chapters don’t come out at the same time.

After a chapter is released in Korean, it takes extra time to get translated and edited properly. Also, not every Korean webtoon gets cleared for global release right away. It depends on copyright, contract deals, and sometimes the themes, too.

What To Expect From Lookism 554?

The last chapter ended with Daniel screaming for help, and someone actually showed up, Jake Kim. But, how Jake is gonna help here is still a big question. Like, unless he has plans to pull off some kind of Talk No Jutsu on Kitae Kim, there is not much else he can do. Kitae Kim is just too strong.

The thing is, Jake was already looking for Kitae Kim, so maybe he found something that could actually stop him, or maybe he just came to talk him down as his younger brother. That second one sounds more likely, though. Jinrang has already lost an arm, and Busan’s power balance is already messed up with Jinrang’s gang members down and him being armless. There is not really any reason left to keep fighting.

And it is not like you have to kill someone to take them out of a territory. We have already seen that with Jichang Kwak, the previous King of Seoul. He got defeated by Kitae and was exiled, and then Kitae took his spot. Even though Kitae did not even stay in Seoul. He spent most of his time in Mexico anyway.
