Blue Lock manga is back on its weekly schedule after a one-week break, and the intense match between Bastard München and Paris X Gen (PXG) will continue in Blue Lock Chapter 290.
The game is still stuck in a deadlock after Isagi and Kaiser teamed up to stop Rin. But that’s not the only unexpected partnership in this final Neo Egoist League match. Charles and Karasu from PXG also joined forces to block Isagi and Kaiser’s attempt to score the final goal.
While Charles and Karasu kept Isagi and Kaiser in check, Isagi and Kaiser also made sure Rin couldn’t score. Up until now, none of them could break through, keeping the game balanced.
But in Chapter 289, Rin stepped up, intercepting Kaiser’s Kaiser Impact pass, and evolving his skills. Now, it looks like he might finally outplay Isagi and Kaiser’s powerful duo.
Meanwhile, Alexis Ness’ future is on the line. His whole reason for playing football is to make Kaiser the top player, but his blind dedication caused a huge mistake.

Because of him, Bastard München lost a sure goal, and Karasu managed to kick the ball out of play, stopping their momentum. The whole team was in sync, but Ness messed it up.
Now, with Rin evolving and Bastard München struggling because of Ness, the match is still far from over. K

What To Expect From Blue Lock Chapter 290
A genius shows an unexpected explosion! We must surpass Itoshi, or the final blow will not land!!!
The title for Blue Lock Chapter 290 is revealed to be “Blue Bad Boy”, and it looks like Rin vs. Isagi is about to hit another level.
Rin wanted to crush Isagi, but instead, he was the one struggling. Meanwhile, Isagi had a self-realization moment in this match. He figured out that being a prodigy has actually held him back.
His awakening came when he realized that Kaiser is just like him, another prodigy, not a genius like Rin. That is why Isagi and Kaiser teamed up to take on Rin, and for a while, they managed to shut him down.

But now Rin has finally snapped. He realizes that instead of dominating Isagi, he has been getting crushed himself.
This frustration pushes him into mutation, and we see a giant shadowy figure appear behind him, symbolizing his evolution.
The next chapter will likely show Rin adapting to Isagi and Kaiser’s strategy and finally getting past them. Meanwhile, Ness’ awakening was expected after Kaiser told him to quit and Isagi called him a dead talent, but it looks like he will be sidelined again.
This match has been going on since Chapter 249 and is still not close to ending. It will probably continue until Chapter 293-294, so don’t expect a final goal or conclusion in 290 just yet.

Recap of Blue Lock Chapter 289
Blue Lock Chapter 289 starts with Kaiser telling Ness to quit football. In the last chapter, Ness froze at a key moment, and because of that, Bastard München lost a sure goal. Instead of passing to Isagi, he hesitated, and in that split second, Karasu kicked the ball and threw it away, outside the touchline.
Kaiser is not interested in Ness’ excuses. He tells him that football is not about playing for someone else, while Isagi straight-up calls him a dying talent.

On the PXG side, Rin is getting frustrated by constantly getting outplayed by two of BM’s prodigies.
The game picks up pace after the throw-in. Kaiser has the ball, but Rin locks Isagi down, making a pass to Isagi impossible. Nanase and Zantetsu rush in, trying to steal, Karasu also jumps in to block any passes. Isagi realizes that Rin is trying to break their formation.
Then, Kaiser makes a shocking move. Instead of a normal pass, he uses Kaiser Impact to send the ball to Isagi. Just when it seems like Isagi might break free, Rin reacts instantly and intercepts it, stopping the attack.
