What Happened in Blue Box Chapter 203?
Kyoto school trip is still ongoing in Blue Box Chapter 203. At the start of the chapter, Hina is seen looking at good luck charms and picks the same “Victory” charm Haruto mentioned back in Chapter 199, and this shows she kept his words in mind.

Ayame and Shota Break Up
The main part of the chapter is Ayame and Shota breaking up. Ayame asks Shota to meet, but he brings it up first. Shota says they should break up since both of them were always too careful and never really acted like themselves.
Ayame agrees and compares their relationship to a jigsaw puzzle. She says some pieces matched, but in the end, they were just different. Her example pretty much portrayed that it is nobody’s fault. She tells him that both of them can still find real love with someone else.

Ayame
After the breakup, Ayame thinks about her own flaws and how her friends helped her change. Then Kyo shows up and asks what Ayame is doing, as Ayame was complaining and saying “Nothing fits” while sitting on the sofa alone. Ayame then says to Kyo that he is lucky as he is a simple puzzle, which confuses Kyo.
Then Hina and Nina show up to call Ayame for the bath. They ask where she went earlier, and she says it was a breakup. The moment is loud enough for Kyo to hear it. He starts blushing. It is a clear indication of his own feelings and a hint that he is happy about her newfound single status, even if he feels it is an “inappropriate reaction”.
Hina and Haruto’s Progress
Later that night, the girls talk about love. Ayame shares what happened. When Hina gets teased about Haruto, she acts like it is not possible. But the last panel shows the Victory charm now on her bag. Even if she does not admit it, her feelings are growing.
Blue Box Chapter 203 Review
The breakup felt a bit sudden and not fully built up, but it was not surprising. Kyo never confessed when he had the chance. Shota did, and Kyo stepped back. Now that Ayame is single again, Miura is moving the side stories forward.
It is better if Ayame and Kyo get some proper time for their relationship to grow naturally. It should not feel rushed.
The puzzle example explained everything without blaming anyone and showed how much Ayame has grown.
Kyo’s reaction opens the way for his story. Hina buying the charm shows progress in her arc with Haruto without needing too much dialogue. Miura is handling the side cast well again without losing the tone of the series.
