Blue Lock Chapter 304 is titled “Dream Benefactor”, and as the preview showed, the chapter is all about Isagi going back home. The focus stays fully on him this time, and Muneyuki Kaneshiro has confirmed in this chapter that only 45 days are left before the U-20 World Cup begins in Japan.
After everything that happened in the Neo Egoist League, Ego gives the players a 2-week break. It is not just for rest but also to reset their mindset before the next big stage. The U-20 World Cup is the real goal now, and this short break gives everyone time to recharge.
During Isagi’s visit, his parents continue to show their support and stay proud of how far he has come. Ego also sends him something important, a letter and a set of disks that include footage from the EURO 2008 Final as well, and other World Cups.
Many fans, including me, thought this chapter would shift focus to Nagi. The last panel of Blue Lock Chapter 303 showed him sitting alone at an arcade, looking lost and filled with regret after his elimination. That scene looked like the perfect setup to explore his mindset or next move. But Kaneshiro chose not to continue that thread for now. For now, it seems like Nagi’s story will be put on hold, or maybe his comeback will be timed for a later arc.
Isagi Visits His Family in Blue Lock Chapter 304
Blue Lock Chapter 304, titled Dream Benefactor, starts off with Isagi taking a short break and visiting his home. His mom has prepared his favorite tonkatsu, and Isagi says it tastes even better after a win. While he is enjoying the meal, his dad brings up a concern, he feels like Isagi might be pushing himself too hard, and asks him if he is really okay.
Isagi just keeps eating and smiling. His mom then says how proud she is of him for how well he did in the Neo Egoist League. She also notices that Isagi has gotten thinner and wonders if he is not eating well at Blue Lock, showing how much she cares.
Talk of U-20 World Cup and Blue Lock Ranking
While they eat together, his mom says that it seems like Isagi’s next step is the U-20 World Cup. His mother also mentions the news they heard from Anri, that Isagi is now the number one in Blue Lock. Just then, the doorbell rings, and Isagi gets a delivery. Inside, there’s a letter, a disk, and a plane ticket.
The letter says:
You already know soccer, Isagi Yoichi. The key to your next evolution is inside this box. Try to find it for yourself
Ego Jinpachi
Isagi reads it and pauses. He starts thinking about what Ego means by “next evolution.” His mom then asks what kind of person Ego Jinpachi is, and Isagi calls him interesting and kind of craziest person in the whole world. He also says Ego is someone who does not sugarcoat anything and always speaks based on his own beliefs. “He’s my dream benefactor.” His mom smiles and says she’s happy he found someone like that. His dad also tells him he has changed a lot and that he believes Isagi will go even further now.

After dinner, Isagi leaves and heads to his room and check the disk Ego sent. The first disk is a recording from the EURO 2008 Final, showing Germany vs Spain. He starts watching and says, “So this is soccer from that time” and wonders what he is supposed to learn from the match.

The final panel ends with a short blurp that says:
Blue Lock is still… in the midst of evolution. The growth process is different for each one! The challenge to the world begins here!
It also shows Bachira, Chigiri, and Kunigami received the same letter from Ego, which hints that the focus may shift again to other players soon.
