Lookism Chapter 554 is finally out now on Naver Webtoon, and the latest chapter had a lot going on. This chapter was expected to conclude the chaos Kitae Kim started in Busan, and it actually did. Another key reveal was that tasers did not work on him this time. Back when he fought Jichang Kwak, he ran the moment he got tased, but now, even after getting hit with tasers, he stayed firm and did not try to escape when the cops showed up. Just when he was about to be arrested, some higher-up ordered not to arrest him.
What caught most fans off guard, though, was that it was James Lee who called the police on Kitae Kim. He has had enough of Kitae’s mess. James had clearly told him to just bring Jinrang and Daniel Park to him, but Kitae went overboard again. He started going after Jinrang’s whole gang and even tried to kill Jinrang himself.
Jake Kim showed up right in time and tricked Kitae Kim to buy enough time so others could help the injured. Jake did not fight him directly but played it smart. This whole scene also shows that James Lee is cooking something really big!
Kitae Kim’s Terror Ends in Lookism Chapter 554
Lookism Chapter 554 opens up with Jake Kim showing up right when Jinrang was about to get killed. Kitae and Jake have a proper talk this time. Kitae starts explaining how he did not want Gapryong Kim to waste his strength in politics. He believed Gapryong should have been a conqueror instead, someone who ruled all of South Korea and even invaded Japan. Kitae now wants to become that version of Gapryong Kim, and he asks Jake to join him. But Jake says no.
Jake says he only looked up to Gapryong because of his romantic side, not the violent part. Jake liked the side that had morals, but Kitae liked the dark side, the one who ruled from the shadows. After hearing this, Kitae lifts his axe again, trying to kill Jake just like the other half-brothers he took out.
But right when it looked like it was over, the police showed up and yelled at him to drop the axe. He did not. They even tased him, and this time the tasers had no effect. At first, it looked like Goo Kim might have been the one who called the police, since he was seen on the phone. But it was confirmed that it was actually James Lee who called the cops on Kitae. He finally got tired of cleaning up after him.
Right when Kitae Kim was about to get arrested, something unexpected happened. The mayor of Busan showed up and gave a direct order to let Kitae go. The police had no choice, so they released him. After that, Kitae got in a car and told the driver to head to Seoul. He is most likely going to meet James Lee, since he is the one who called the cops on him.
On the other side, the rescue team finally reached Jinrang and the others. All three were taken to the hospital. Jinrang survived even after losing his arm, but he’s still unconscious. The condition of the other two has not been confirmed yet.
Daniel Park then thanks Jake Kim for showing up. He also asks why Jake was even in Busan. Jake tells him that he was looking for Jinrang because Jinrang is the disciple of his father, Gapryong Kim, and he thought Jinrang could help him get stronger. He also confirms that Big Deal still supports Daniel Park no matter what.
After all this, the news starts reporting on the incident, but instead of talking about Jinrang or Kitae Kim, the news only mentions that the fish market in Busan was burned down. Both Daniel and Jake are shocked because it clearly means someone powerful is protecting Kitae Kim and covering up the truth. Most likely, it’s James Lee again using his connections to wipe the mess.
The chapter ends with James Lee (Diego Kang in public) holding a press conference. He says he is going to reveal something shocking.
Lookism Chapter 555 will be out on 15th May 2025, and it is looking like James Lee might blame the whole thing on Daniel Park.
