The NEL match between Bastard München (BM) and P.X.G. is still ongoing in the Blue Lock Chapter 287 as both teams remain locked at 2-2.
The Neo Egoist League (NEL) is all about earning high salaries based on player performance. It is like an auction where clubs bid on players after each match.
The higher your value, the better your chances of being selected for a pro team. If your valuation is too low, you won’t get picked, it is as simple as that.
This ranking is based on a mix of goals scored, teamwork, and how much of an impact the player has on the field.
For example, Rin Itoshi tops the list because of his incredible performance or what we call ‘genius performance’, while players like Gurimu Igarashi (Igaguri) don’t even make the cut since their valuation is too low.

Why Igaguri (Gurimu Igarashi) Isn’t Selected
Igaguri’s value is non-existent according to the valuation shown in Blue Lock Chapter 287. His reckless playstyle and inability to stand out on the field have completely tanked his chances.
Even though for me, he is the real MVP in this match, without him, PXG would have long won by now, but he used his abilities to stop Rin twice.
However, now Rin has seen through his playstyle it won’t work, and other than that Igaguri has no other skill either. Noel Noa knows this, so there is no point in having him on the field anymore.
So yeah, the NEL salary system decides who is moving up in their pro career, and unfortunately, it’s the end of the road for Igaguri.

What Happened in Blue Lock Chapter 287?
Blue Lock Chapter 287 starts with Isagi witnessing the surprising synergy between PXG’s Tabito Karasu and Charles Chevalier. Their teamwork catches him off guard, and he quickly realizes that their “chemical reaction” is a real threat.
Isagi goes for a shot on goal, but his effort is interrupted by Zantetsu Tsurugi, who’s playing on the right wing. Zantetsu takes control and sends the ball to Shidou, pushing PXG closer to BM’s goal.
BM doesn’t back down, though. Raichi, Hiori, and Kiyora execute a well-timed “Triple Press” on Shidou, stopping his advance.
Forced to adapt, Shidou passes the ball to Rin, showing how even PXG’s geniuses are working together. Rin charges toward BM’s goal, supported by Charles and Karasu.
As BM’s defenders close in, the PXG trio use clever passing to maintain momentum. The ball was passed to Shidou.
Igaguri vs Shidou
Just when it looks like Shidou might get another shot, Igaguri steps in, true to his style, Igaguri pulls an intentional foul to stop Shidou, earning himself a yellow card. While falling, Shidou manages to pass the ball to Rin, keeping the play alive.
The match doesn’t slow down. As Rin moves in for the goal, Isagi and Kaiser double-team him, stopping his attack just in time.

Isagi taunts Rin, pointing out that no matter how talented PXG’s players are, his and Kaiser’s tactical play is on another level.
Igaguri Subbed Out
After Igaguri’s risky move, Noel Noa decides it’s time for a substitution. Despite Igaguri begging for one more chance, Noa explains that his unpredictable style worked earlier but has now become a liability.

Noa reminds him that the team’s priority is to win against PXG, not focus on individual performances. Igaguri is heartbroken, realizing his time on the field is over.
The chapter ends with Isagi reflecting on Igaguri’s journey. Despite his flaws, Igaguri played a crucial role in BM’s progress, and Isagi acknowledges his efforts.

Final Words
Gurimu Igarashi was a substitute pick in the NEL final match, no doubt about that. Well, we all kinda saw this coming. His skill set is… well, let’s just say it’s super limited.
Gurimu Igarashi’s whole deal is throwing himself at opponents to force fouls. It works when the other team isn’t clued in, but now everyone knows his trick.
It’s not gonna fly anymore. Like, just look at how he had to deal with Shidou, he literally grabbed him to stop him and ended up getting a yellow card. That’s not great, is it?
Igarashi’s valuation is basically nonexistent, and you can see why. He doesn’t bring anything special to the table. Sure, he might have been useful in this match, but moving forward? Nope.
