Wind Breaker Episode 18 (Season 2 Episode 5) will be released on May 2nd, 2025, at 12:30 AM JST in Japan on Crunchyroll. The upcoming episode will properly introduce Tasuku Tsubakino, one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Bofurin.

Recap
After the fight with KEEL, Sakura has not been doing well. During the fight, he froze up and could not protect his teammates. That failure has been bothering him ever since. Ren Kaji showed up and took down the KEEL leader, but for Sakura, the guilt of not being able to lead properly hit him hard emotionally. He got sick and isolated himself at home.
The last episode, titled ‘Senpai’s Teachings’, focused on Sakura’s life outside of school. We got to see where he lives and why he behaves the way he does. Turns out, his house looks like a haunted place, and he has been living all alone, eating convenience store food since coming to Makochi Town he does not even have a stove.
When Nirai and Suo showed up to check on him with food and other stuff, it was a surprise for him. He is not used to people showing up for him or caring about him, so their visit made him flustered. After that, Kotoha Tachibana also visited and told him that he is not alone anymore. This hit Sakura hard, and something inside him started to change.
The next day, Sakura went back to school and met with Ren Kaji, who took him to the school rooftop. Ren told him, No matter how strong you get, you can’t do everything alone. You need to trust others, too. While this conversation was happening, Umemiya and Toma Hiragi were secretly listening nearby.
Ren got embarrassed after noticing them and punched Umemiya before running away. Then, Toma recalled how he once brought Ren to this same rooftop for the same reason, giving him similar advice back then. The previews of the upcoming episode have been released as well:

After his fight with KEEL, Sakura realized that there was not much he could do on his own. He went to Kaji to ask for his advice, who bluntly told him, “Just believe in those guys” while Umemiya also urged him on, though not as bluntly.
After recovering from his cold and making up his mind, Sakura turned to Class 1-1, including Nirei and Souo, and began to speak of his own honest feelings and thoughts as class leader.
