Solo Leveling Becomes the Third Highest-Rated Anime on Crunchyroll

Solo Leveling has now become the third highest-rated anime on Crunchyroll, passing Jujutsu Kaisen. It now stands right behind One Piece and Demon Slayer.

Jujutsu Kaisen held the third spot for a long time, but after Solo Leveling Episode 18, which showed the fight between Kargalgan and Sung Jinwoo, the rankings shifted.

Ratings Don’t Always Mean One Anime Is Better

Now just because Solo Leveling has more ratings on Crunchyroll does not mean it is “better” than Jujutsu Kaisen. JJK Season 2 ended back in 2023 and Solo Leveling Season 2 is still ongoing, so obviously it is getting more engagement right now.

Jujutsu Kaisen is already renewed for Season 3 and MAPPA is animating it, which will cover The Culling Games Arc. Once that releases it is very likely that JJK will take back its spot.

Solo Leveling’s Ratings Will Keep Going Up

Solo Leveling is now entering Return to Demon Castle Arc, another fan-favorite part of the story. After that, it will move into the Jeju Island Arc, which is the most awaited arc of this season.

Even the animators are excited about the Jeju Island Arc adaption and the Ant King vs Sung Jinwoo fight, and if it is done right it could “break the internet” when it releases.

Solo Leveling Season 2 is listed for 13 episodes and so far 6 episodes have been released. The anime will end on March 22nd.

There are also rumors that the Solo Leveling Season 2 finale might be 1 hour long, combining Episodes 12 and 13 to cover both the Jeju Island Arc and Recruitment Arc. But there is no official confirmation on this yet.

Solo Leveling is a Korean novel and webtoon that became a global hit. It was written by Chugong, illustrated by DUBU (REDICE Studio), and adapted by h-goon. The webtoon was published by D&C Media and later it got an anime adaptation.

Sung Jinwoo, the main character, is an E-Rank Hunter, the weakest of them all. Everyone calls him “The Weakest Hunter” because he barely survives in dungeons. But one day, after a strange event, he gets a rare ability, he can now level up like a game character.

From then on his life changes as he becomes stronger with every battle, unlocking new skills and powers that no other hunter has.
