The global release is confirmed for September 7, but the exact time is still to be announced. Stay tuned or follow official updates for your region.
` }; resultBox.innerHTML = data[region] || ""; resultBox.style.display = region ? "block" : "none"; }The global release, including the US, will happen two months later on September 7, 2025. Netflix is using the same strategy it used with Blue Box earlier this season. Japanese Netflix gets the episode first, then the rest of the world waits 7 days or longer. In this case, the US and most English-speaking regions will have to wait 8 full weeks.
This early access issue is again becoming a problem. The anime will likely be discussed and spoiled online before fans outside Japan get to watch it officially.
The Asian region Netflix will get The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity Episode 1 on July 13, but that is still a week behind Japan. The anime is confirmed to run for 13 episodes total and will be a 1-cour series.

The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity Episode 1 Story and Preview
The anime starts by showing the gap between two schools in Tokyo. Chidori High School is a public school for boys that has a rough image. On the other side is Kikyo Girls Academy, a private school for wealthy girls. Both schools are next to each other, but have a divide in reputation and lifestyle.
Rintaro Tsumugi, the main boy, works at his family’s cake shop. He has a scary face, so people always misunderstand him. One day, Kaoruko Waguri, a girl from Kikyo, comes into the shop. She sees Rintaro, gets flustered, and runs off. Rintaro thinks he scared her again.
But the next day, Kaoruko comes back, apologizes, and ends up eating the cake herself. She tells Rintaro she was not scared of him at all, something that surprises him because everyone usually avoids him.
This small meeting changes everything. Rintaro later finds out that Kaoruko goes to Kikyo, which makes him conflicted because of the rivalry between their schools. The official synopsis of episode 1 has been released as well:
Tokyo Metropolitan Chidori High School is a low-ranking boys’ school, while Kikyo Gakuen Girls’ High School is a private school for well-established young ladies.
Though they are adjacent to each other, the gulf between the two schools is deep.
While helping out at his family’s cake shop, Tsumugi Rintaro, who attends Chidori, meets a girl named Waguri Kaoruko who eats a lot of cake. Kaoruko sees Rintaro and runs away from the store.
Rintaro regrets having scared her, but the next day she comes to visit him.

The manga has already crossed 5 million copies sold, so expectations are high. If Netflix had released it globally at the same time, the hype would have been a lot more than this. But just like Blue Box, international fans will need to wait or avoid spoilers.
