Lookism 555 will be released on 15th May, 2025 at 7:00 AM Pacific Time (PT) on Naver Webtoon. The latest chapter wrapped up Kitae Kim’s rampage in Busan. Surprisingly, it was not just Jake Kim who helped stop him, Diego Kang (James Lee) unintentionally saved everyone from Kitae Kim as well by calling the cops on him.
Jinrang was saved. Jake Kim played smart and acted like he was interested in Kitae Kim’s plan, just to buy time and save Jinrang. During the talk, Kitae revealed that he wants to bring back the old 0th generation era. He wants to become the new Gapryong Kim and rule South Korea from the shadows, even said Gapryong Kim should have invaded Japan as well. He believes Gapryong Kim made a mistake by choosing politics.
But Jake did not agree. He said the reason he respected Gapryong Kim was not because of his violent side but because of his sense of romance, the part that wanted to change things through politics.
After hearing that, Kitae was ready to kill Jake just like he killed his other half brothers. He raised the axe, but that is when the police showed up and tried to tase him. Tasers did not work this time either. Right before they could arrest him, the Mayor of Busan showed up with an order from higher-ups and released Kitae Kim on the spot. Then Kitae left Busan and went to Seoul.
Jake later told Daniel that the reason he came to Busan was to meet Jinrang, who was the disciple of his father, Gapryong Kim. Jake now wants to become stronger by learning from him. He also said Big Deal always has Allied’s back.
At the end, Diego Kang was seen holding a press conference and said he is going to reveal something shocking soon. A lot of fans are now wondering what exactly he’s going to say. Most likely, he will try to put the blame on Daniel Park (Second Body). But there’s also a chance he might announce he is stepping into politics, since now even Seoul sees him as a hero after Charles Choi’s downfall.

Remember, this release is for the Korean version on Naver Webtoon, not the English one. The English release on Line Webtoon is still way behind, right now, it is around Chapter 546. Even though both platforms are owned by Naver Corporation, the chapters don’t come out at the same time.
After a chapter is released in Korean, it takes extra time to get translated and edited properly. Also, not every Korean webtoon gets cleared for global release right away. It depends on copyright, contract deals, and sometimes the themes, too.
What To Expect From Lookism Chapter 555?
So now it is clear that Kitae Kim and James Lee are not working for the same purpose. Kitae’s real plan is out, he wants to bring back the 0th gen era and become the new Gapryong Kim, rule Korea from the shadows. But James Lee’s real goal is still unknown.
At the start of the Busan Arc, James invited Daniel Park and told him he wants to build a society where “evil does not exist.” But that is clearly not true, his whole system runs on doing shady things and manipulating others. He even offered Daniel to become his right-hand man, which again proves he has some big plan in motion.
We do know James wanted control over Busan, and with the help of Goo and Kitae, he got it. Even though things got messy, he still managed to take control and will likely team up with Kitae Kim again, even though Kitae went totally out of control.
Now the big question is, what is James going to announce publicly?
It is most likely not going to be about Daniel’s second body, since that body’s official identity is James Lee. Back in Chapter 174, Daniel finds out that his second body has a real identity, and it is listed as James Lee. At the time, he thought the second body was James Lee, but it was a setup. Then, in Chapter 177, Charles Choi shows up and pretends James Lee does not exist. That is when he tells Daniel that if he wants to know the full truth about the second body, he has to surpass Diego Kang.
Even now, the second body is still recorded under the name “James Lee” in all official documents. So James could shift all the blame onto Daniel Park’s second body just by blaming “James Lee.” That would protect his public identity and also take Daniel out of the picture.
There is a theory going around that this is how PTJ will start the second body jail arc, and this way, he will receive more training from Gun Park in Jail. Moreover, this way, PTJ can focus on OG Daniel Park’s character more.
