Dadandan Season 2 will be released on July 3rd, 2025, and will be available to stream on Netflix and Crunchyroll. Two new characters were also revealed ahead of the premiere. Manjiro, voiced by Yoshino Hiroyuki, and Chiquitita, voiced by Ozora Naomi, will be joining the second season.
Manjiro
He is the head priest of a shrine that enshrines “Tsuchinoko”. In fact, due to the tradition of the giant snake faith that is rooted in the land, he enshrines the skin of the giant snake when it sheds its skin. In reality, he has a desire to become a “BooTuber”.
Chiquitita
He is the son of Dover Demon, also known as Shako Alien. He needed to drink new blood every day, but was saved by Hoshiko and her friends, who gave him a cow. He currently lives on Earth with his father.
Dandadan: Evil Eye Movie Hits Theaters Before Season Release
Before the new season releases, a special movie titled DanDaDan: Evil Eye will be released in cinemas. The film compiles the first three episodes of Season 2. It has already been released in Japan as of May 30, and will be released in America on June 6, followed by Europe on June 7. This is the same format they used for Season 1, which also had a pre-release compilation movie called First Encounter.
What Arcs Dandadan Season 2 is Expected to Cover?
Dandadan Season 1 of the anime ended during the Cursed House Arc and adapted the first 33 chapters of the manga. It had 12 episodes, covering one cour. Season 2 is also expected to have 12 episodes, continuing right after Season 1. Based on the pacing, it will likely wrap up the Cursed House Arc, adapt the full Evil Eye Arc, and might even adapt the Kaiju Arc as well (not completely). Cursed House Arc (Season 2) is described as:
Momo and Okarun help Jiji, Momo’s childhood friend, to get rid of an evil spirit that is haunting his house. However, they soon discover that there is more to this mission than a simple exorcism.
