Blue Lock Chapter 288 Part 2 Delayed: New Release Date Announced

Blue Lock Chapter 288 Part 2 won’t be coming out on 1st January because of the magazine break that happens every year.

This break is a holiday pause where manga magazines, like Weekly Shonen Jump, take some time off for New Year’s.

It’s a regular thing in Japan during the holiday season, and it gives the staff and creators a chance to rest and enjoy time with their families. Because of this, the usual release schedule is delayed for a bit.

The last Blue Lock chapter was shorter than usual because the manga artist wasn’t feeling well. According to the spoilers for Chapter 288, it was only 8 pages long, and the “Death Game” didn’t finish.

It will continue in the next part, which will be titled “Death Game Part 2” Also, the spoilers revealed that Yukimiya got subbed in for Igaguri in the final NEL match.

Yukimiya Joins

As soon as Yukimiya joins, Isagi feels the difference. With him on the left side, their attack gets way stronger.

The two of them focus on one thing winning and Gagamaru even says “It’s a sure win now” with Yukimiya in the game.

Yukimiya wastes no time. He speeds through PXG players, making it look easy. Isagi starts thinking about how he, Kaiser, and Yukimiya could work together to break down the defense, but Yukimiya has other plans.

Yukimiya goes for it on his own. He tricks everyone by acting like he’s going to pass the ball to Isagi or Kaiser, but instead, he creates space for himself and goes straight for the goal.

Isagi quickly figures out what’s happening. He realizes Yukimiya is using him and Kaiser to draw attention while he gets the chance to score by himself. The chapter ends here.

Final Words

In Part 2 of this Death Game, we will see if putting Yukimiya in was the right move. Before he joined, Bastard Munchen was in sync, but they needed his dribbling skills to secure a win.

Yukimiya doesn’t seem all that interested in teamwork right now, and that might cause issues. So, what do you think, does his ego-driven style fit with the team’s needs? Let me know what you think in the comments!
