At Jump Festa 2025, the Chainsaw Man Movie: Reze Arc release date was announced. The trailer was also shown, along with two new posters. The movie is officially set to release in 2025 in Japan.
Chainsaw Man Movie: Reze Arc Plot
This new movie picks up where the anime left off (Chapter 38), focusing on Denji’s story when he meets a girl named Reze.
Their first meeting happens in Chainsaw Man Chapter 40. After going on a date with Makima, Denji tells himself he won’t fall for anyone else.

But then it starts raining, and Denji takes shelter in a small phone booth. Reze shows up too, trying to stay dry. She introduces herself and says she works at a cafe.
During their chat, Denji uses a simple magic trick to give her a flower. Reze smiles and says she will thank him by giving him food at her cafe. That is how their story begins.
Two visuals were released along with the teaser. One shows Chainsaw Man battling through a storm. The other has a softer feel, showing Denji and Reze at her cafe, Nidou.

MAPPA is once again producing the movie, continuing the same quality as the anime. Tatsuya Yoshihara, who worked on a few Chainsaw Man episodes and Black Clover, is directing the movie. Hiroshi Seko is writing the script, and Kazutaka Sugiyama is back as the character designer.
