The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity Episode 7 opened with Rintaro looking at his group chat with his Chidori High friends, while also reading Kaoruko’s messages.
He feels like hiding things is wrong, so he plans to tell his friends the truth about meeting the Kikyo students, but before that, he decides to ask for permission from Kaoruko and Subaru.
As Rintaro decides to leave to meet with the Kikyo students. Saku, Ayato, and Shohei decide to follow him after class and are shocked when they see him meeting Subaru and Kaoruko at the cafe. They decide to sit near them to overhear what they are saying.
Rintaro tells Subaru and Kaoruko that he wants to reveal the truth because he does not want to hide things from his friends anymore.
He explains how he used to feel like an outsider, but his current friend circle gave him a place where he belonged. Subaru and Kaoruko ended up trusting him and accepted his decision.
Delinquents Showed Up To Fight Rintaro
After leaving, Subaru suggests a proper introduction with everyone so she can apologize for what happened outside the library when she became too harsh.
Rintaro agrees, but before they reach the train station, a group of older delinquents shows up in front of them on an abandoned path. They say they want to talk since their juniors had issues with Rintaro before.
Things get worse when they notice Subaru and Kaoruko in their uniforms and start making comments toward them.
Rintaro stands in front of the girls to protect them, but before a fight starts, Shohei, Saku, and Ayato appear. They tell Rintaro to take Subaru and Kaoruko to safety while they handle the fight.
Ayato Shows His Real Side: Ayato vs Delinquents
The fight begins with Saku ready to brawl, but then one delinquent says they were the ones who hurt Rintaro’s forehead earlier.
Hearing this, Ayato loses it, who is usually quiet and peaceful, he drops his bag and walks forward with a serious look.
Ayato takes down all delinquents by himself easily. After beating them, he crouches beside one and warns them not to mess with Rintaro again.
He tells them Rintaro is not weak but actually the “coolest guy ever”. This was unexpected since Ayato did not look strong since his debut, nor the kind who would fight or be violent.

Rintaro and Saku Become Friends Once Again!
The next day, during the sports festival, Rintaro is still distracted. He underperforms and gets subbed out of the game.
Shohei slips that he is glad they followed him, which makes Rintaro realize they overheard his talk at the restaurant. Shohei gets embarrassed and runs off with Ayato, leaving Rintaro with Saku.
Saku apologizes for being too harsh before, while Rintaro admits his own mistakes as well. In the end, Saku tells him that he trusts him completely. Rintaro then returns to the field and hits a clutch home run, and everything becomes normal between Rintaro and his friends once again.
