Who is Mahoraga in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2?
Mahoraga, the Eight-Handled Sword Divine General, is the most powerful shikigami in the Ten Shadows Technique. The Ten Shadows Technique is a cursed technique of the Zenin clan. It allows the user to summon ten different shinigami in the Battle.
Megumi summoned it in the Shibuya arc as a last resort after being seriously injured by Haruta and Toji. He knew he could not control it, but hoped it would kill both Haruta and himself.
However, Sukuna saved Megumi before Mahoraga could finish the job. He healed Megumi using the Reverse Cursed Technique and took on Mahoraga himself. This fight became one of the most hyped in Season 2.
Sukuna needed Megumi alive for his own plans, especially since he wanted to use the Ten Shadows Technique against Gojo later. So he had no choice but to defeat Mahoraga.
