Isagi’s New Strategy in Blue Lock Chapter 320
At the start of the second half, after Rin stopped the shot, Isagi takes charge and introduces a new formation called the Variable 0-Top System.
The other Blue Lock players will freely aim for their own goals. It is a Variable 0-Top System!!!
Instead of every player rushing forward, the idea is to make Rin and Isagi the main focus.
They move the ball between each other quickly through the middle, pulling the Nigerian defense out of position.
This tactic lets the other Blue Lock players find their own openings to score, creating chaos in Nigeria’s defense.
The Nigerian players are clearly confused since they have never faced a system like this before.

Rin’s Flashback and True Self
Blue Lock Chapter 320 then changes focus to Rin’s flashback from 30 days before the World Cup.
He is seen training and meditating with a monk who tells him to clear his mind and find peace.
But Rin cannot do that. No matter how much he tries, he cannot erase Isagi and Sae from his mind.
He then realizes his real self is driven by the need to crush his rivals and prove himself. That instinct, that hunger to dominate, is what defines him.
He accepts that this side of him is not something to control but something to embrace.

Logic vs Instinct
As the match continues, the 0-Top System starts to lose shape because every Blue Lock player begins to play for themselves.
Onazi and the Nigerian defense cannot predict what is coming next. Every player on Japan’s side looks dangerous.
Bachira sends a perfect pass, and Isagi immediately calculates the ball’s direction using his Metavision.
He knows exactly when and where to strike. But Rin appears behind him, acting purely on instinct.

He thinks, “If Isagi is going to depend on logic, I will rely completely on instinct”. Rin stops caring about the plan and moves with pure emotion. He lets go of everything and sells his soul to adrenaline.

Hero or Die
Rin connects with the ball before Isagi and fires an incredible shot into the net. GOAL! Japan leads 3-0. Isagi stands frozen, trying to process what just happened.
He finally understands Rin’s mindset. Rin is no longer playing to win by logic. He is playing to become the hero, no matter what.
The chapter ends with Isagi calling him a “freak”, realizing that Rin’s way of football is all or nothing, “Hero or Die.”
You freak… So it is a matter of ‘Hero or Die’!
Isagi Yoichi
Rin’s instincts have fully awakened, and this goal proves that he has reached another level.
