Onaji Is The Real Threat in Blue Lock Chapter 313
Blue Lock Chapter 313 spoilers start with a flashback showing Nigeria’s players training on a dusty field. It focuses on their main striker, Onaji, who seems to be the heart of their team. For his teammates, he is the biggest hope ,and everyone relies on him.
Then we shift to the match broadcast, where the U-20 group format is explained. Japan is in Group A along with France, England, and Nigeria. Only the top 2 teams will move to the knockout stage. Hence, Japan needs to win two matches to qualify for knockout stage.
The team formations are shown too. Japan uses a 3-4-3 system while Nigeria lines up in a 4-4-2.

Nigeria Starts Aggressive
Nigeria kicks off the match and instantly takes control. Their midfielders, Kuzum and Bero, quickly push the ball forward. Bero uses a clean spin move to get past Bachira, which throws Rin off balance, as he was expecting a normal pass.

The ball is then passed to Onaji, who smoothly dribbles past Aryuu. Just as he is about to shoot, Aiku tries to stop him.
But before Onaji can get his shot off, Niko perfectly reads the play and slides in to block the attack.
This move also shows how much Niko’s defensive awareness has improved and how valuable he is to Japan’s backline.
Japan Counters Immediately
After the block, Karasu picks up the ball and quickly starts Japan’s counter. He passes to Hiori on the left, who then sends a clean through ball to Rin, who is already sprinting up the pitch.
Rin gets a one-on-one with Nigeria’s defender Bosa. He does a quick fake to create space and takes a precise shot toward the goal. It looks like Japan might score early, but then the most unexpected thing happens.
Onaji Blocks the Goal
Onaji, Nigeria’s striker, suddenly appears near his own goal and throws himself in front of Rin’s shot.
He stops the goal completely. Everyone is shocked, especially the commentators, because no one expects a striker to track back in a situation like this and defend like that.

But Onaji just smiles and says, “It is alright”. They are playing like a team that is ready to win no matter what, even if their star striker has to defend like a center-back.
Blue Lock Chapter 313 concludes with Japan’s best chance blocked by the same player leading Nigeria’s attack.
It’s alright. Because I am here.
Onaji
At the very end of the chapter, Isagi activates his “transcendence” and finally sees it, the path to victory. He says:
Transcendence completed. I can see it… A guaranteed victory vision.
Nigeria’s defense looks weak so far and pretty manageable for Japan’s frontline. The only real threat on the field seems to be Onaji, but even from the way this match started, he feels like he is still a tier or two below someone like Julian Loki.
Blue Lock Chapter 314 will be released on 6th August at 12:00 AM JST and will likely show Nigeria’s response to Rin’s attempt to score the goal.
