Fujimoto never misses! So, remember the theory I mentioned in my last article on Chainsaw Man Chapter 189? Turns out I was right.
We finally see that Pochita ended up barfing out Yoshida (the Octopus Devil) in the previous chapter. Yoshida decides to help Asa and Denji since they are all stuck in the aging world. Yoshida is in the same boat as Denji his body (Octopus Devil) is in the real world, just like Pochita.
But the most mind-blowing part is not Yoshida being back. It is Fumiko. She finally dies, but right after, another Fumiko shows up across from her. Yeah, you heard that right.
Fumiko has always been one of the most hated characters in Chainsaw Man, and people kept speculating she might be the Death Devil or some other type of devil. Fujimoto never confirmed anything about her being a devil… until now?
One Fumiko is on the floor, coughing up blood, and her intestine gets sacrificed by the Aging Devil to heal himself.
Meanwhile, a second Fumiko is standing across from her. At first, it seems like maybe the dying Fumiko is hallucinating. But nope, the Aging Devil can see the second Fumiko too.
This means it is not a hallucination but probably some kind of ability. Then, the second Fumiko straight-up says, “I’m still alive, hardy aren’t I?”
This makes it even more likely that Fumiko’s got a Yoru-Asa-type situation going on, with a devil possessing her body. But it is most likely not Death Devil!
In this article, I will be discussing Yoshida’s new plan to deal with the Aging Devil and the recap of the previous chapter.
Chainsaw Man Chapter 190 Release Date
According to the schedule, shared on Manga Plus, Chainsaw Man Chapter 190 will be released on 14th January 2025 at 8:00 a.m. PT. While in Japan, the chapter will be available at 12 am JST on 15th January.

Yoshida Plans To Bring the Aging Devil Into the Aging World in Chainsaw Man Chapter 190
In the latest chapter, we see Yoshida eating Fumiko’s near-dead heart, and out of nowhere, a giant octopus appears.
It is similar to how Yoru (the War Devil) summoned the Gun Goddess (Liberty Statue) that almost killed Pochita before.
In the previous chapter, Yoshida hinted that he had some sort of plan to escape the Aging World. At first, both Yoru and Yoshida tried to escape through Denji’s stomach, which is connected to Pochita’s stomach in the real world.
But they quickly realized that even if they managed to escape, the Aging Devil would kill them instantly once they were out.
Now, it seems Yoshida is working on a new plan. In the Aging World, devil abilities don’t work. So, if Yoshida can somehow drag the Aging Devil into this world, he will lose his powers, making him vulnerable. This could give Denji, Yoru, and Yoshida a chance to kill him.
Fujimoto has already teased two possible ways to escape the Aging World indirectly. The first option is for Denji to accept the deal to eat the Aging Devil.
But this would lead to the death of 10,000 Japanese children, as per the deal made by Public Safety. The second option is to kill the Aging Devil, which sounds impossible since he is practically immortal. He can disintegrate anything just by pointing his finger and fast-forwarding time, aging them to death.
But it looks like they are going for the second option since there is no way Denji would allow the murder of 10,000 kids.
For this plan to work, Yoshida’s new giant octopus ability will likely trap the Aging Devil in its tentacles and drag him into the Aging World using Pochita’s mouth as a gateway.
Chainsaw Man Chapter 189 Recap
Chainsaw Man Chapter 189, titled, ‘Heart, Pass, Octopus’, begins with Yoshida using Denji’s mouth as a portal to the real world. He tries to grab a pillar with his tentacles, but the Aging Devil quickly chops them off.

Next, Yoru steps up and tries her “bang” attack but misses since she can’t see properly. The Aging Devil figures out their plan, using Pochita’s stomach to force their way back to the real world.
Yoru then shoves her upper body into Denji’s mouth to take another shot but ends up with her face rapidly aged by the Aging Devil.

Furious at her “ruined” beauty, she retreats. However, as soon as she returns, she is back to normal.

Meanwhile, Pochita decapitates the Aging Devil, but it is pointless since the devil just regenerates using Fumiko’s intestine.
The Aging Devil mocks Denji, saying he must be tired of eating humans, and tempts him to eat him instead, claiming he tastes like lotus root.
Out of nowhere, another Fumiko appears while the real one lies on the floor coughing blood. The second Fumiko says she promised to side with whoever’s winning, leaving everyone confused.
The injured Fumiko offers Yoshida her heart, which the Octopus Devil devours. Right after, a massive octopus-like form rises out of a building, so huge that the building collapses. Fujimoto leaves us guessing what this new thing really is.
Fumiko Mifune: Dead or Alive? Speculations After Chainsaw Man Chapter 189
Fumiko Mifune, probably the most hated character in Chainsaw Man, first showed up in Chapter 136 during the Chainsaw Man Church arc.
Her first meeting with Denji was… let’s just say, a bit weird. She was introduced as Denji’s school bodyguard by Public Safety.
Even though a lot of fans wanted her gone, she has managed to stick around. There’s even been a theory floating around that she’s the Death Devil, which honestly seems far-fetched.
But this is Fujimoto we are talking about, he could totally pull a twist like that, especially since we have not seen the Death Devil yet.
Now with this “second Fumiko” popping up in Chapter 189, things are getting confusing. The second Fumiko is visible to the Aging Devil, which means she is not some illusion or ghost.
Maybe it is a clone, created by the Octopus Devil or even another devil we have not met yet. If that’s the case, could Fumiko actually be dead but also not dead? Like, maybe her body’s been cloned but her real self is still alive?
Right now, it is all just speculation, but it feels like Fujimoto’s setting up something big with her character. Whether she is linked to the Death Devil or there’s a whole new devil at play, Chapter 190 might finally give us some answers.
