Gachiakuta Anime Drops New Rudo Visual & Short PV

Studio BONES is working on the Gachiakuta anime, and it is set to release in 2025. We can expect more updates at AnimeJapan 2025, where the team will probably reveal the exact release date. I have attached the teaser of the upcoming anime below!

The anime is based on the manga by Urana Kei, with design by Ando Hideyoshi. It has been running in Weekly Shonen Magazine since February 2022 and has gained a lot of popularity. Kodansha describes the story of the manga as:

Rudo lives in the slums of a floating town, where the poor scrape by under the shadow of the rich who live a sumptuous life, simply casting their garbage off the side, into the abyss. Then one day, he’s falsely accused of murder, and his wrongful conviction leads to an unimaginable punishment—exile off the edge, with the rest of the trash. Down on the surface, the cast-off waste of humanity has bred vicious monsters, and if Rudo wants to have any hope of discovering the truth and seeking vengeance against those who cast him into Hell, he will have to master a new power and join a group known as the Cleaners who battle the hulking trash beasts of the Pit!

A new teaser trailer and key visual are already out, showing Rudo’s determined expression as he tightens his gloves, ready for battle. The key Visual is attached below!

Satoshi Ishino, the character designer and chief animation director, created the visual, and the tagline “I’m doing it for real” gives a small teaser of Rudo’s strong resolve.

More updates will roll out as the release gets closer, with AnimeJapan 2025 expected to bring more details. Since BONES is handling the animation, expectations are already high.
