The Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle trilogy is going to wrap up the story of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba on the big screen.
Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures are bringing these three movies to theaters worldwide, except for some Asian countries and Japan.
These movies will cover the final arc of the story, and while there’s no exact date yet, the first one is planned for 2025.
This is big news for fans, especially after the success of Mugen Train, which became the highest-grossing Japanese movie ever, making over $500 million worldwide.
The Infinity Castle Arc will follow the battles with Muzan and his strongest demons, it will be the end of Tanjiro’s journey.
The same team behind the anime is working on these movies. Haruo Sotozaki is directing, Akira Matsushima is handling the character designs, and the music will be by Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina. Crunchyroll also streams the earlier arcs, including the Mugen Train movie and the Hashira Training Arc.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba synopsis:
It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself.
Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.
