What Happened in The Previous Episode?

The episode starts with a flashback to Aiku in middle school. Back then, he was a striker and a pretty good one too.

But the coaches kept telling him to focus on the team and stop trying to score all by himself. Since he was tall and strong, they wanted him to play as a defender and let others do the scoring.

Aiku wasn’t happy about it, he wanted to be the best striker. He even asked his coach to let him play his way, but the coach shut him down, saying it’s a team sport, and if he doesn’t follow their rules, he’s out. So, Aiku had to give in, even though he hated it.

Now, in the present, Aiku is playing as a defender, and he is an absolute wall. Fast forward to Blue Lock vs U-20.

He blocks Rin’s dribble and Isagi’s pass, saying he won’t let them shine. Aiku’s all fired up, and you can tell Blue Lock is pushing him to become even better. After the flashback, he starts reading the plays like a pro again.

At one point, he shoulder-tackles Rin and stops the ball, completely shutting him down. Sae watches this and calls Aiku a selfish captain, but Aiku doesn’t seem to care.

Then Sae gets the ball and starts a big play. Reo faces off against Shido, who’s pulling off insane moves Reo can’t copy.

Sae passes to Shido, who’s about to take the shot. Gagamaru thinks it’s going low, but mid-air, he realizes it’s actually going high.

Gagamaru pulls off an insane handstand save, shocking everyone. Reo clears the ball, and Blue Lock starts their counterattack.

Isagi, Rin, Baro, and the team push forward, trying to break the U-20’s defense. Just when it seems like Isagi’s got his moment, Sae shuts him down, shoulder-tackling him and calling out his impatience.

But Isagi keeps his cool and passes to Rin, only for Aiku to step in. Out of nowhere, Baro takes the chance and scores a powerful goal, tying the game. He removes his shirt in excitement and gets a yellow card for removing the uniform.

With 15 minutes left, the game is wide open. Baro, putting his shirt back on, challenges Isagi to shine brighter so he can steal the spotlight.

Isagi tells him to try, while Nagi claims he’ll score the next goal. Meanwhile, Rin stands alone, frustrated, determined to score and defeat Sae, proving this game is his moment.
