Blue Box Episode 25 will be released on March 20 on Netflix Japan. This will be the final episode of Season 1, and it will also conclude the Autumn Training Camp Arc.

On March 22, during Anime Japan 2025, Blue Box will have a special Green Stage event. The main cast will be there, and the event is scheduled from 14:15 to 14:50 JST.

However, there is no confirmation that a second season will be announced. That said, anime sequels are often revealed at events like this, so there is still a small chance. The program overview is described as:

Ao no Hako is a hugely popular manga by Koji Miura currently being serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha). The TV anime series Ao no Hako, which began airing on 28 TBS affiliates over two consecutive seasons in October last year, will finally reach its final episode on March 27th. The main cast will be on stage to talk about episodes they can only talk about now, and introduce the highlights of the series that will make the final episode even more enjoyable ! Don’t miss it!!

The first season of Blue Box has adapted the first eight arcs of the manga, and it is likely to end with Chapter 79.

One of the biggest moments of the season, Taiki rejecting Hina, has already happened. Blue Box Episode 25 will focus on what happens after, showing Hina dealing with the rejection and Ayame getting mad at Taiki for making Hina cry. The love triangle has now come to an end in the best way possible.

Major Spoilers From Blue Box Episode 25

What To Expect From Blue Box Episode 25?

The last episode ended with Hina running out of the gym after getting rejected, crying while Ayame tried to comfort her. Blue Box Episode 25 will likely cover the rest of Chapter 77 and fully adapt Chapters 78 and 79. The season will probably end with Chinatsu waiting for Taiki as they go on a date, making it the perfect cliffhanger to conclude Season 1.

The Joint Training Camp Comes to an End

After the last campfire night, the next day starts with the announcement that the buses will arrive at 5 PM. Taiki is still wondering if he made the right choice by rejecting Hina.

While he is practicing, Haryu shows up and challenges him to a match. Haryu had been avoiding Taiki ever since their practice game with Yusa’s school, where Haryu lost, but Taiki won.

Ayame Feels Guilty About What Happened

Since Ayame does not have any experience with love, she now blames herself for getting involved in Taiki and Hina’s situation.

She was the one who helped Hina with Taiki and even planned the whole moment in the gym during campfire night.

But now, Hina got rejected, which she did not expect, and she has been crying ever since. This makes Ayame feel responsible.

Kyo figures out what is going on and talks to Ayame about it. She is confused because, even though she understands that Taiki likes someone else, she still thinks he and Hina get along so well as friends, so why can’t they date? Kyo explains, “They seemed happier as friends”.

He talks about the difference between what matters in friendship and what matters in a romantic relationship. But at the end of the day, Taiki has already made his choice.

Haryu vs Taiki

Haryu challenges Taiki to a match, and they play an intense game, but in the end, Taiki loses. After the match, Haryu admits why he had been avoiding Taiki.

Ever since losing to Yusa, he was scared to play against Taiki because if he lost to him too, it would crush his confidence. But now, he has decided that he’s done running away.

Taiki Plans a Date with Chinatsu

Once they get back home, Taiki and Chinatsu greet each other, even though they were on the same bus and arrived at the same time.

Taiki asks if she wants to go somewhere during the next break. He wants to confess his feelings, but he does not want to make it obvious by inviting her to a park or somewhere too romantic.

So instead, he suggests they go shopping for a new tracksuit for him. It is awkward, but Chinatsu agrees, and in exchange, she wants to try out a new cafe. Their date is set for the next Saturday, and Taiki is determined to tell her how he feels.

Ayame is Still Mad at Taiki

Things with Hina are weird after the rejection. She runs away every time she sees Taiki in the gym, and Ayame is still mad at him for hurting Hina.

She tells Taiki that Hina cried a lot after the campfire night, and she does not like how Taiki seems so comfortable after rejecting someone.

Taiki understands how hurt Hina is, but instead of forcing a conversation, he wants to give her space. He is waiting for her to decide when she is ready to talk again.

Ayame, on the other hand, is still confused. She wonders why Taiki would reject a girl like Hina and whether the person he likes is really that special.

Hina Avoids Taiki

Hina starts wearing a bunny head to hide her face while she avoids Taiki in the gym. She says it’s suffocating being in the same place as Taiki and Chinatsu.

After practice, Taiki seems to be in a hurry. The guys invite him to grab something to eat, but he turns them down.

They immediately figure out that he’s rushing for a date. And they are right, Taiki is heading out to meet Chinatsu at the spot they planned for their Saturday date.
