Blue Box Episode 22 will be released on February 27 on Netflix Japan. The Autumn Training Camp Arc has officially started, and this will be the last full arc to be adapted in Season 1.
Chinatsu is now back with the Inomata family, and after everything that happened during the cultural festival, she is finally starting to realize her feelings for Taiki.
But instead of rushing into anything, she’s letting those feelings grow naturally before deciding what to do next.
Even though she does not talk about it, the events of the festival are still on her mind. A new character, Ayame Moriya, is also introduced in the latest episode, and she will be an important part of the story moving forward.
What is Autumn Training Camp in Blue Box?
As the name of the arc and the article title suggests, there is a joint training camp coming up in Blue Box Episode 22.
The camp is a combined practice session for the badminton, basketball, and rhythmic gymnastics teams. It takes place during the school’s founding anniversary, and all the players will be training together.

Blue Box Is Ending Soon
Only four episodes are left in Season 1, and Netflix has not announced a second season yet. The show hasn’t been doing well on Netflix, mostly because of how Netflix Japan is handling the release schedule (as I explained in my Blue Box Season 2 article).
If viewership stays low, there is a chance Netflix won’t renew it for another season. But there is still hope since Shueisha (the manga’s publisher and IP owner) and TMS Entertainment (the production studio) might move it to another streaming platform instead of canceling it completely.
The manga is selling really well, and some of the best parts of the story are still ahead. If there is a Season 2, it will fully adapt Yumeka’s return arc and the Confession Arc, two of the most awaited arcs in the entire series.

Major Spoilers Ahead From Blue Box Episode 22
What To Expect From Blue Box Episode 22?
Blue Box Episode 22, titled “Inota” will focus on the joint training camp, but before that, a lot of drama is going to happen.
Ayame Moriya, who is Karen’s younger sister, finds out about Chinatsu’s crush and also about Hina’s situation.
Since Karen already knows who Chinatsu actually likes, she does not tell Ayame the truth. Instead, she makes up a fake person as Chinatsu’s crush to keep things under wraps.
Kazuma Matsuoka Shows Up
A new character, Kazuma Matsuoka, will make his first appearance. He is a basketball player who just returned from abroad to play with Eimei Senior High’s basketball team.

The funny thing is, Kazuma fits the exact description Karen gave for Chinatsu’s “crush,” so Ayame assumes he is the guy Chinatsu likes.
Ayame Decides to Help Hina
Ayame also realizes that Hina likes Taiki. Even though they are not really friends, she talks to Hina about it.
After learning that Hina already confessed to Taiki but has not received an answer, Ayame decides to help her get a response from Taiki.
Ayame is now trying to play matchmaker for both Chinatsu and Hina, without knowing the real situation. And with the upcoming training camp event, she decides to make her move.
Joint Training Camp Begins
The joint training camp officially starts after a two-hour bus ride to a hotel near the mountains. Haryu is still not talking to Taiki after losing to Yusa, while Taiki actually defeated Yusa.
Later that night, Ryosuke Nishida brings out a game called King’s Game (card version). He even gets Nagisa and Chinatsu to join.

The game is like Truth or Dare, whoever picks a card must do whatever it says. At first, everyone gets some cute or funny dares, but then, Taiki picks a card that tells him to confess his feelings to the person he loves.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger with Taiki caught off guard, not knowing what to do next. Blue Box Episode 22 will fully adapt Chapter 69. 70 and 71. According to official synopsis of the upcoming episode:
A few days have passed since Ayame became the manager of the boys’ badminton club. Taiki is still being dragged around by her as usual. Meanwhile, Ayame notices Hina’s feelings of love and, ignoring Taiki’s own feelings, gets fired up about bringing the two together.
During this time, Matsuoka, a member of the boys’ basketball team, returns from studying abroad in America. Taiki happens to witness Matsuoka happily chatting with Chinatsu.
