Flashback: 44 Days Before the World Cup in Blue Lock Chapter 322 Spoilers
Blue Lock Chapter 322 then moves 44 days into the past, showing how Isagi’s “curiosity” started. During the break from Blue Lock, Isagi spends his days studying world soccer matches as suggested by Ego.

As Isagi grew older, that emotion started to fade. Playing in normal teams and following instructions took away the joy that made him love soccer in the first place.
Everything became about teamwork, rules, and doing what was expected. The feeling that once made him excited began to disappear.
Isagi Rediscovers His Ego
Back in the present of the flashback, Isagi reflects on everything he has been through in Blue Lock. Meeting other egoists and competing against them reignited that lost passion.
He realizes that the “heat” he felt as a kid has always been there, he just forgot what it was called. That feeling was curiosity about himself.

Isagi’s True Goal
