Flashback: 44 Days Before the World Cup in Blue Lock Chapter 322 Spoilers

Blue Lock Chapter 322 then moves 44 days into the past, showing how Isagi’s “curiosity” started. During the break from Blue Lock, Isagi spends his days studying world soccer matches as suggested by Ego.

He watches with full focus, trying to understand new tactics and styles. The more he studies, the more excited he becomes, realizing how much he still wants to learn.

He then asks himself, “Why did I even start playing soccer?” This question sends him back to a childhood memory.

Isagi’s First Soccer Memory

As a child, Isagi was shy and easily scared. One day, his father took him to a professional soccer match. It was his first time in a stadium. Surrounded by thousands of fans and loud cheers, young Isagi became completely mesmerized. He saw 22 players fighting for one ball and felt something spark inside him.

At that moment, he realized,“I want to try it too. I want to stand in that place”. That feeling was the start of his passion and the first moment his ego was born.

Losing the Spark

As Isagi grew older, that emotion started to fade. Playing in normal teams and following instructions took away the joy that made him love soccer in the first place.

Everything became about teamwork, rules, and doing what was expected. The feeling that once made him excited began to disappear.

Isagi Rediscovers His Ego

Back in the present of the flashback, Isagi reflects on everything he has been through in Blue Lock. Meeting other egoists and competing against them reignited that lost passion.

He realizes that the “heat” he felt as a kid has always been there, he just forgot what it was called. That feeling was curiosity about himself.

He understands that every emotion, pleasure, pain, frustration, and growth is part of that curiosity. His true motivation is to keep evolving and to discover new versions of himself on the field.

Isagi’s True Goal

Blue Lock Chapter 322 ends with Isagi declaring that he wants to live on the battlefield of soccer to keep finding who he really is.

He wants more challenges, more stimulation, and more moments that push him beyond his limits.
