Blue Lock Chapter 310 Spoilers: Nagi’s Ego Reignites

Igaguri Shows Up at the Arcade

Blue Lock Chapter 310 opens with Igaguri tracking down Nagi at an arcade. He tells Nagi he went to his school and asked around to find him. Nagi calls him suspicious and asks what he wants.

Igaguri gets straight to the point and asks what Nagi plans to do about football. Nagi says he has not decided yet. Igaguri says he figured that would be Nagi’s answer.

Igaguri tells Nagi to keep playing football, just like Isagi told Nagi after Nagi got eliminated. However, he does not say this because he agrees with Isagi. He says it is his own selfish ego talking because they got eliminated together in the Neo Egoist League.

He asks Nagi what he felt when he realized he had lost. Nagi says he felt nothing really, just “yeah, figures.” Igaguri says he was frustrated but also happy because he got to chase his dream of becoming a pro.

Igaguri explains that dreams have no limits. He says it’s about the size of your “vessel.” His dream to become pro was big enough to bet his life on. But for someone aiming to be the best in the world, his vessel was too small.

He tells Nagi that, unlike him, Nagi is not satisfied at all. He says there are some dreams that only certain people are supposed to have.

Nagi Reveals His Choice

Nagi tells Igaguri that Buratsuta tried to scout him for the U-20 team through a secret route. Igaguri gets mad, asking why he did not get scouted too. Then Nagi reveals that he turned down the offer.

When Igaguri asks why, Nagi says he did not want to betray Blue Lock. Igaguri asks if that is his only reason, and Nagi says yes.

Igaguri Calls Out Nagi’s Logic in Blue Lock Chapter 310 Spoilers

This makes Igaguri really angry. He tells Nagi that he is the one betraying Blue Lock more than anyone. He reminds Nagi that he made that pass at the last moment and lost in the FC Barcha vs Manshine City match.

Igaguri says Nagi did the opposite of what Blue Lock teaches about becoming the world’s best striker. How can he talk about not betraying Blue Lock when he has already done it by getting satisfied and giving up in the Neo Egoist League?

Igaguri tells Nagi about his own situation. His parents were against his dream, so when he joined Blue Lock, he left home prepared for everything. He was ready to either become a pro or work at a temple for the rest of his life.

He put his dreams and risks on a scale and fought with real determination. He says humans can only truly commit when their intent and precision are balanced.

Igaguri gives Nagi a reality check and tells Nagi that he feels lost because he never thought about what would happen if his dream did not work out. He says if he had Nagi’s talent, he would aim to be the best in the world, no matter how hard it was.

He gets emotional and apologizes to Nagi for interfering since it is Nagi’s life. But Nagi thanks him for coming to see him and says he could become a good monk.

Igaguri reveals that he is not becoming a monk, he is still going to be a soccer player. He tries to continue talking since he still has an offer from Bastard Munchen, but Nagi starts walking away, saying he has had enough. The whole conversation reginites Nagi’s Ego.

As Nagi leaves, the key moment happens. Nagi says:

“I am starting to feel fired up.

Nagi

The chapter ends with “2 days until the U-20 World Cup”, and from the whole conversation between Igaguri and Nagi, it seems Nagi is finally going to take the JFU Chairman Baratsuta’s offer, and become one of the Baratsuta 3.

The real question is whether this motivation will last or if it is just temporary. Blue Lock Chapter 311 title “SIDE-B” has been revealed and will release on 16th July at 12:00 AM JST.
