Blue Lock Neo Egoist League is the second phase of the program. It is the sixth arc of the manga and started right after the Blue Lock team won against the U20 Japan Team. Ego got full control of the Japanese football team as per their agreement.
It is aimed at preparing players for the U-20 World Cup. In this league, players pick one of five countries, Germany, England, Spain, Italy, or France, to train with top U-20 teams and master strikers from those leagues.
They compete in a tournament called the Neo-Egoist League (NEL). The best-performing players will earn a spot on Japan’s U-20 team.
When Will Blue Lock Neo Egoist League End?
The Neo Egoist League arc started in Chapter 152 (Volume 18) and is still going on, with 288 chapters released so far. Blue Lock Chapter 288 was only half-released because the manga artist wasn’t feeling well, and Part 2 of the chapter got delayed because of a magazine break.
Blue Lock Chapter 288 Part 2 is now set to release on December 7, 2024. Right now, the final match between Bastard Munchen and Paris X Gen is tied at 2-2.
The manga’s author confirmed that the Neo-Egoist League will wrap up in Volume 33, which is the current volume.
This means the match and Neo Egoist League will likely finish around Chapters 292 to 294. Blue Lock Volume 33 is scheduled to release on March 17, 2025.
Blue Lock Season 2 just finished recently, and Season 3 will pick up with the Neo Egoist League Arc. There’s no release date for Season 3 yet.
Since there are over 140 chapters left to adapt, it is unlikely that Season 3 will cover the whole arc. Most likely, it will take two seasons, Season 3 and Season 4, to finish it. It took 36 episodes (from Seasons 1 and 2) to adapt the first 149 chapters.
