Witch Watch Episode 4 will be released on April 27 at 5:30 PM JST. In this last episode, Morihito Otogi receives a letter from Ibuki Wakatsuki, Nico’s mother. She warns him about a new prophecy, that “Dogs and Raindrops” will bring disaster to Nico.
Right after reading the line, Morihito sees a black bulldog charging at Nico outside the house. Thinking the prophecy is already happening, he quickly protects her. But later, he found out it was just someone’s pet dog that got loose. It was not part of the actual prophecy. Morihito then reads the rest of the letter.
Ibuki also sends a paper with a special glyph. This glyph will disappear once the disaster has passed. Since it was still there after the bulldog incident, it confirms the real prophecy has not happened yet.
Kanshi Kazamatsuri Debut
The next day, Nico and Morihito go out in the rain to buy red beans, which Nico needs to recharge her magic powers. While walking, Morihito notices that someone is following them. After moving to a less crowded area, Morihito calls the person out. A guy wearing a weird dog costume shows up. Nico calls it “Wonder Ful-ful!” But Morihito stays serious and sees him as a threat. They fight, and after removing the mask, Morihito still does not recognize him.
Nico then explains that the guy is Kan. ‘real name, Kanshi Kazamatsuri‘, her crow familiar and a tengu. Not much about Kanshi was shown in the last episode, but Witch Watch Episode 4 will properly introduce his character. It will also reveal whether he is going to join Morihito and Nico or not. Witch Watch Episode 4 titled “Tengu – Kazematsuri Supervision” will be released on 27th April 2025 at 1:30 AM PT in regions like the USA and the UK. While in Japan, the episode will be available to watch at 5:30 PM JST. I have attached the complete release schedule of Witch Episode 4 below:

What To Expect From Witch Watch Episode 4?
As the title hints, the next episode is going to focus on Kanshi Kazamatsuri, who is Nico’s old friend and her crow familiar. He probably showed up after Ibuki Wakatsuki’s warning about the new prophecy.
In the last episode, Kanshi said he was secretly following Nico and Morihito to test Morihito’s skills and see if he is even strong enough to protect Nico properly.
The next episode will also show how Nico and Kanshi first met, how he became her familiar, and how long they have actually known each other. The official synopsis for Witch Watch Episode 4 has also been released!
To protect Nico, Kanshi Kazamatsuri, a crow familiar, appears before Nico and Morihito. Kanshi is a tengu who lived in the mountain where Nico trained in magic. Ibuki asked Kanshi to protect Nico as well as Morihito, but Kanshi views Morihito, a demon, as his enemy. Will a new person, Kanshi, join Nico and Morihito’s living together?
