Return to Demon Castle Arc will conclude in Solo Leveling Episode 21. A new character, Esil Radiru, was just introduced, and she instantly became a fan favorite.
Manhwa readers have been waiting for her anime debut for a long time and the latest episode had everyone excited for two big reasons, Jinwoo vs Demon King Baran and Esil finally appearing in the anime.
But even though a lot of fans are loving her, Esil won’t be around for long. She will have a little more screen time in the next episode, but after that, she won’t show up again in Solo Leveling Season 2.
Esil Radiru The Princess Of the Radish Clan (Radiru Clan)
Esil Radiru is a high-ranking demon that Sung Jinwoo meets in the Return to Demon Castle Arc on the 80th floor of the dungeon.
She is the daughter of the leader of the Radiru Clan, which is the weakest clan in the Demon Castle. She originally lived in the demon world, but one day, she and all the demons in the demon castle woke up inside this dungeon.
This dungeon was created by the system to help Jinwoo level up, so the entities inside it are not real. They were made by the system itself, whose true identity will be revealed later in Season 3.
Even Baran, who gave Jinwoo a tough fight in the latest episode, was not the real Monarch Baran, he was just a copy created by the system.
How Did Esil Meet Jinwoo?
When Jinwoo reached the 80th floor, he noticed his weakest shadow soldiers kept dying, and his mana was draining faster than usual.
He went to check what was happening and ran into Esil and her knights. Jinwoo easily defeated her knights and was about to kill Esil too, but she begged for mercy.
After removing her mask, Jinwoo saw that she looked human and could speak, which made her different from other demons.
So, instead of killing her, he spared her life. However, Esil tried to trick Jinwoo and attack him again. Her second attempt failed because Tusk used a protection spell to save him.
Realizing she could not win, Esil made a deal with Jinwoo, if he spared her and her family, she would help him get the passes needed to reach the higher floors of the dungeon.
Esil Helped Sung Jinwoo Against Baran
Later in the same episode, Esil became an ally of Jinwoo. He started to like her, not in a romantic way, but because she reminded him of Jinhoo.
She decided to stick with Jinwoo until the 100th floor to watch his fight against Baran. During the battle, Jinwoo even protected her.
Esil also saw Jinwoo as a friend, and when it looked like Baran might defeat him, she threw a spear at Baran to distract him. That small opening gave Jinwoo the chance he needed to strike the final blow and win the fight.
Will Esil Radiru Appear Again?
Even though a lot of fans loved Esil, she won’t be appearing again in Solo Leveling Season 2. In the manhwa, she only shows up in the Return to Demon Castle Arc and then disappears for a long time.
She only returns in the epilogue of the series, so anime-only fans should not expect to see her again anytime soon.
