The Beginning After the End (TBATE) Episode 2 will be released on 9th April 2025 on Crunchyroll. While the series was one of the most hyped shows of the Spring lineup, the first episode did not really land well for a lot of fans. Especially manhwa and web novel readers, who were expecting Solo Leveling level animation. The story itself is fine and follows the source material closely, but the animation and art style is what disappointed most fans. Some are even calling it “PowerPoint animation”.
Just like many other isekai anime, TBATE also follows the same route, King Grey dies and is reborn as a baby named Arthur in a whole new fantasy world. His new parents, Alice and Reynolds, think he is just a normal child, but they don’t know he used to be a king in his past life.

In the first episode, we saw Arthur getting used to this new world. Even though he was stuck in a baby’s body, he quickly adapted. After learning how to crawl and walk, he starts reading books in the house to learn about mana and mana cores. He eventually manages to form one, but it ends up causing an explosion that wrecks the house and hurts Reynolds in the process.
Arthur thought he had it all under control, but he forgot he is still in a small body. A piece of wood almost falls on him, but Reynolds saves him just in time.
The Beginning After the End (TBATE) Episode 2 will probably show Arthur growing a bit older, and this time Reynolds might start noticing that Arthur is not a normal kid at all. He will realize that his son needs proper training and a proper mentor. That is when the Twin Horns Party is expected to show up. The official synopsis of Episode 2 describes the plot as:

The Beginning After the End (TBATE) Episode 2 Release Date
TBATE Episode 2 titled “The King is Attacked” will be released on 9th April 2025 at 7:30 AM PT in the USA and UK region. While in Japan, the episode will be released at 11:30 PM JST. The episode will be available on Crunchyroll for international users and in Japan, the episode will be released on Fuji TV as well. I have attached the complete release schedule below:

Major Spoilers From TBATE Episode 2
What is Twin Horns Party?
Before Alice and Reynolds got married, they were both part of a group called the Twin Horns Party. Now, this group has five members, Adam Krensh, Angela Rose, Durden Walker, Jasmine Flamesworth, and Helen Shard.
You won’t get to know everything about them in Episode 2, but it will show that Alice and Reynolds used to be in this team and now they have asked them to let them tag along. So, they bring Arthur with them too.
The team has two conjurers and three augmenters. Adam is an augmenter, Angela and Durden are conjurers, while Jasmine and Helen are both augmenters too.
What To Expect From TBATE Episode 2?
TBATE Episode 2 will have another time jump and now Arthur will be around 4 years old and can talk. At first, Reynolds will try training him, but he quickly realizes Arthur is not a normal kid and has way too much potential. Reynolds will feel like he is holding him back and thinks Arthur needs a proper mentor. Alice is not fully okay with the idea since he is still just 4 years old, but Arthur wants to grow stronger so he agrees.
So now the choice is in Arthur’s hands. He is the one who decides if he wants to go to a new big city and learn from someone better. He tells his parents he wants to go and they should also come with him.
They all then start traveling to Xyrus City, and since the Twin Horns Party is also headed there, Alice and Reynolds decide to travel with them. That is when Arthur finally meets all the members of the Twin Horns Party.
The Beginning After the End (TBATE) Episode 2 will most likely cover the rest of Chapter 5 and go up to Chapter 9 from the manhwa
