Chizuru talks about her feelings again and explains that while she loves Kazuya’s family and does not regret the kiss they shared at the HAWAIIANS in Chapter 226, she still is not ready to be in a relationship.
She says what she’s feeling is not just love, but something more complicated. Because of her work, her lifestyle, and everything going on in her life, she feels like she can not move forward with Kazuya right now. She apologizes, and Kazuya tries to stay calm, saying stuff like this happens and hides how sad he is. The chapter ends with them walking home and Chizuru getting a blister on her foot.
Author Faces Heavy Criticism
After the release, a lot of fans started criticizing Reiji Miyajima, the author. Many have followed the story for years, and to see a moment that looked like real progress turn into another stall has really upset the fanbase.
