Previous Season Recap
The previous season ended with Kafka being exposed as Kaiju No. 8 and getting taken into custody. The Defense Force was split on whether to kill him or keep him alive.
Director General Isao Shinomiya tested Kafka himself during a serious fight at Ariake Base. Kafka almost lost control and nearly killed Isao, but stopped himself at the last second by punching his own core.
After seeing that, Isao decided not to kill Kafka. Instead, he made the call to use him as a living weapon. The 3rd Division agreed, but some squad leaders in the Defense Force still wanted Kafka dead.
The final scene showed Kaiju No. 9 watching everything, quietly planning his next move.
What To Expect From Kaiju No 8 Episode 13?
Kaiju No 8 Episode 13 will pick up right from where Season 1 left off. It starts the Kaiju Weapon Arc from the manga. The public still does not know the truth about Kafka, and the new members of the 3rd Unit are being transferred to different squads.
Captain Gen Narumi, the leader of the 1st Division, will be properly introduced in Kaiju No 8 Episode 13 as well.

He is the strongest captain in the Defense Force and does not support the idea of working with Kafka.
