Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 ‘Culling Games Part 1’ teaser trailer confirmed that it will start airing in January 2026. The first part will adapt the remaining chapters from Itadori’s Extermination Arc, and then will likely adapt half of the Culling Games Arc.
Special Program and Trailer Revealed: Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Culling Game Part 1 Release Date
The trailer and release date were revealed during a special program celebrating the 5th anniversary of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime.
This program included a crosstalk between Enoki Junya (Itadori Yuji), Uchida Yuma (Fushiguro Megumi), and Seto Asami (Kugisaki Nobara). Along with looking back on the anime’s five-year run, the show revealed five major updates, including the latest news on the sequel project “Culling Games Part 1”.
Alongside the new season, a special movie was also announced, which will cover a special edition of “Shibuya Incident arc” plus Episodes 1 and 2 of “Culling Game arc” advance screening in theaters!

This film will be released in Japanese theaters on November 7, 2025, followed by a global rollout.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 ended with the Shibuya Incident, where Gojo was sealed in the Prison Realm. Yuji’s execution order was reissued, and Yuta was tasked as his executioner. Since Gojo was sealed, the Jujutsu Kaisen world is in danger.
What Happened in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Trailer?
The trailer opens by showing how things are after the Shibuya Incident. Cities are in ruins under a dark red sky, and curses are seen climbing buildings. We see Yuji Itadori looking hurt and tired, but still ready to fight. He says, “I can’t die just yet!”
A major part of the trailer focuses on Yuji being hunted. We see him in a fast-paced fight against Yuta Okkotsu, who was sent to execute him.
Choso also appears, and he is shown protecting Yuji. He angrily says:
Did you think you could lay a hand on my little brother and get away with it alive?

The rest of the trailer is filled with quick scenes of other characters. We get a good look at Megumi Fushiguro and Maki Zenin as well.
What To Expect?
The main focus of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will be the Culling Game, a survival battle-royale made by Kenjaku where sorcerers fight inside different colonies. Yuji’s group will aim to save Tsumiki Fushiguro and search for the Angel, a key to freeing Gojo.
