While the last chapter did npt focus on Isagi, it was still important. Chapter 306 was all about Nagi Seishiro. Ever since he failed to make it into the top 23, he has been feeling lost. He went back to normal life at Hakuho High School, but it did not take long for regret to hit him hard.
He started thinking about what he had lost and how empty his life felt without Blue Lock. Nagi ended up going to the Blue Lock facility and even set up a tent outside, hoping to be let back in. But Anri told him to leave and warned that it is private property.
Nagi broke down, blamed himself, and started to feel completely useless. Just when it felt like he had no way back, the JFU chairman suddenly appeared and greeted him with the words: “HELLO, GENIUS.”
The chapter ended there, with the editor hinting that the chairman might either help him or use him for his own plans.

The preview also mentioned that a new encounter is waiting for him there, so there is a high chance we will see a new character introduced in this chapter.
Some fans are hoping for a scene between Isagi and Sae Itoshi, but that is unlikely because Sae plays for Real Madrid, and Isagi is going to Barcelona, which is the rival team.
