Blue Lock Chapter 303 is not listed among the series scheduled to be printed in Weekly Shonen Magazine Issue 25! So it is either a misprint, or the chapter will be delayed! We will likely find out this weekend.
Recap
The last chapter, titled “It’s fine“, focused fully on Nagi after he got eliminated from Blue Lock. He returned home and tried acting like he does not care. He kept telling himself he is done with football and there is nothing to regret. But it is clear he is not okay.
He goes back to his school, Hakuho High, where everything started. Since the Neo Egoist League was broadcasted worldwide, Nagi was already kind of a celebrity at school. Everyone started asking him about Blue Lock and if he is still going pro. Even though he got kicked out, he still has a 24 million yen offer from Manshine City. But when someone asks about Reo, Nagi gets emotional and tells them he is completely done with soccer.

Throughout the day, he zones out, clearly not into anything. On his way back home, he sees a huge Blue Lock billboard showing Rin, Isagi, and Shidou. This hits him hard. He keeps telling himself to just forget it. The next day in class, when everyone leaves, he just stays there with his head down. Then from the window, he sees kids playing soccer outside, and suddenly he starts breaking down. He thinks to himself,
“If I really don’t care anymore, why does it hurt so much?”
He starts remembering how fun Blue Lock actually was, how alive he felt while playing. And that is when it hits him, he does care. He regrets not trying harder, and he finally admits to himself that he wants to go back, but now it is too late. The chapter ends with Nagi crying quietly, lost in his own thoughts.

Blue Lock Chapter 303 titled “Blue Lock Japan” will be released on 21st May, 2025 at 12:00 AM JST. While in regions like the USA and the UK, the chapter will be available on 20th May at 8:00 AM PT.
Some leakers have revealed that the upcoming chapter will be on a break. So, there is still a chance that there will be a break!

Blue Lock Chapter 303 Theories and Speculation
The previous chapter was fully focused on Nagi after getting eliminated, but now in Blue Lock Chapter 303, the focus is likely going to shift back to the U-20 Japan team and their preparation for the World Cup. There are less than 50 days left in the timeline, and the new arc has started now since phase 3 has officially begun.
Final 23 Players and Team Formation
Billboards are already being put up in Japan featuring the top 3 faces from Blue Lock, Isagi in the middle, Rin on the left, and Shidou on the right. These are the 3 main players Ego is using to promote the new team.
Now that the final 23 players have been selected from the Neo Egoist League, we might finally get to see the starting lineup and formations Ego is planning to use in the actual matches. There is also a chance he goes with rotating systems depending on who they are facing.
Who Will Be the Main Forward?
As for center forward, it is going to be interesting. There is a high chance it is either going to be Barou or Shidou with Rin as Center Forward, and Isagi most likely will be placed as central mid based on how his playstyle has evolved. Isagi has mostly played as the right winger in the Neo Egoist League in most matches, however,, against Paris X Gen, he became center forward at the end with Kaiser, and this changed the flow of the game as well after he partnered up with Kaiser. Isagi was also the one who scored the final goal.
Many fans are now hoping both Rin and Isagi are used as main forwards together, so it really depends on how Ego balances the team.
