Blue Lock Chapter 314 Part 2 will be released on 19th August at 8:00 AM PT, as the manga is on a break next week due to the Author’s health.

Blue Lock Chapter 314 Part 1 titled “Core” ended on a huge cliffhanger. Chigiri did a cross pass which looked like it was meant for Rin Itoshi, but Isagi managed to be in the position to get the ball.

Isagi’s metavision was fully active as seen in the last panel of the first part, and it looked like everything had lined up. But right before he could get the ball and shoot, a foot came in. It was most likely Onazi’s (Not confirmed, but an assumption).

So now the question on everyone’s mind is “Will Isagi finally score the first goal for Japan? Or will Onazi block it again just like he did with Rin?”

Warning: This article contains spoilers from Blue Lock Chapter 314 Part 1 and theories on Part 2!

The latest chapter was pretty much all about Japan slowly figuring out Nigeria’s team. We saw how players like Karasu, Niko, and even Reo started reading the game better.

Aiku, the captain of the Japan U-20 World Cup team, confirmed that Nigeria plays fast and relies too much on Onazi.

Meanwhile, the Japan team is different because they do not rely on just one player, each player is an egoist and can score a goal.

Isagi moved to the exact spot where the ball would fall. That is why it would make sense for him to score here.

In the middle of the scramble, Isagi goes to hunt for the ball, but…!!

It would show that Japan’s reading of the game and their teamwork worked, and how much Isagi has improved after watching the league matches around the world.

Can Onazi Block It Again?

This would not be the first time Onazi stopped Japan’s attack. Earlier, he blocked Rin’s shot, which looked like a clear goal.

Onazi is the main forward of Nigeria’s team, but he also has the speed and timing to defend as well. If he stops Isagi now, then that changes everything.

It means even Japan’s best plays are not enough, and a single player can handle the whole Japanese team.

It also means reading and adapting to Nigeria’s team is not enough anymore. Japan would need to find a way to play that even Onazi cannot predict or react to.

What Might Happen in Blue Lock Chapter 314 Part 2?

The outcome of this one play will decide how the rest of the match will go. If Isagi scores, it gives Japan a good start and confirms their plan worked.

It also puts huge pressure on Nigeria to respond. But if Onazi stops it again, Japan will have to change their whole play.

Isagi claimed at the end of Blue Lock Chapter 313 that he can see the Victory. But Onazi has been totally unpredictable so far in the match.

If this play fails, then Japan might have to take a bigger risk. Normal passes and position-based attacks might not work anymore.

They will need something different to score the goal, most likely, Japan would sub in either Barou or Shidou later, as they both are completely unpredictable.
