Blue Lock Chapter 309 is titled “Reunion” and will be released on Wednesday, 2nd July 2025 at 12:00 PM JST on the K Manga App and Pocket Shonen Magazine in Japan.
With recent chapters switching between Nagi, Isagi, and now even Sae Itoshi, the manga is slowly setting up for the U-20 World Cup. While it is not clear who this “reunion” is about yet, there are a few strong possibilities based on where the story left off.

Blue Lock Chapter 309 will be released on 2nd July, 2025 at 12:00 AM JST. While in regions like the USA and the UK, the chapter will be available on 1st July at 8:00 AM PT. I have attached the schedule for the upcoming chapter below:

Buratsuta 3 and the Selection Politics
Blue Lock Chapter 308 showed how Buratsuta, the JFU chairman, has the power to select 3 extra players for the U-20 team on top of the 23 Ego picked through the Neo Egoist League. This creates a total roster of 26 players. He offered Nagi a backdoor spot through this new path called “Buratsuta 3”, but with some conditions.
- Nagi has to win a new selection test
- He has to give full control of his future football career to Buratsuta
- And lastly, he must play to prove Ego’s Blue Lock method is wrong
This whole setup is a way for Buratsuta to reclaim control over the Blue Lock project and weaken Ego’s influence.
Nagi Rejects Buratsuta’s Offer (For Now)
Even though Nagi looked desperate after being eliminated, he turned down the offer. He still respects Ego for helping him and Reo find passion for football again. Nagi says he can’t betray Blue Lock. But the scene made it clear he is still conflicted, and things could change later.
Sae’s Return and France Draw in Group Stage
After rejecting Nagi, the chapter switches to a short phone call with Sae Itoshi. We now know Japan is in the same group as France in the U-20 World Cup.
He tries to secure Sae as one of his Buratsuta 3 members, but Sae refuses to play in the group stage. He says he changed his mind and will only play against Spain, specifically to face Bunny Iglesias, who debuted in Chapter 307.
Isagi’s “Reunion” Possibility in Blue Lock Chapter 309
Back in Chapter 307, Isagi was seen holding five tickets to matches in different countries. One of the top tickets said “Livers vs Manshine City”, which are Blue Lock’s versions of Liverpool and Manchester City.
Ego gave him this scouting task to experience football across different countries. So in Blue Lock Chapter 309, we could see Isagi attend another match and possibly meet someone from Bastard Munchen, maybe even Noel Noa or Michael Kaiser.

So the “reunion” could mean:
- Isagi meeting Noel Noa again
- Isagi meeting with someone from the Neo Egoist League
- Nagi reconsidering and accepting JFU Chairman Offer
- Reo and Nagi reunion.
Blue Lock Chapter 309 seems to be setting up for a shift back toward Isagi’s storyline after the heavy Nagi-focused chapter. There is also a chance we might get small hints about Sae’s backstory with Bunny Iglesias or more on how Buratsuta plans to interfere further with Ego’s plan.
