Solo Leveling Episode 22 will be released on March 8. The Jeju Island Arc has officially started, and it most likely will be the final arc of Season 2.
Only three episodes are left, with Season 2 ending at Episode 25. However, the good news is that leakers have already hinted Solo Leveling Season 3 might be announced soon.
The Jeju Island Arc consists of 18 manhwa chapters, and so far, the latest episode adapted Chapters 90, 91, and a bit of 92.
Things are moving fast, and now Chairman Go Gunhee of the Korean Hunter Association has announced the 4th Jeju Island Raid.

Japan is also joining in, since Jeju Island is close to Japan and the ants have evolved, they can now fly and are becoming a serious threat to nearby areas.
What is the Jeju Island Raid?
Originally, Jeju Island was an S-Rank Gate, but after a dungeon break, the hunters failed to stop the ants. The ants and ant queen escaped, wiped out the island, and killed countless people.
Since the S-Rank hunters in Korea back then were not strong enough, they had no choice but to abandon Jeju Island. But now that the ants are evolving and attacking nearby areas, Japan and Korea have no choice but to work together. Japan sent their strongest hunter Goto Ryuji to aid in this raid.

Who is Goto Ryuji?
Goto Ryuji is the strongest S-Rank Hunter in Japan and the leader of the Draw Sword Guild. He and his team were sent to Korea to help with the 4th Jeju Island Raid.

So far in the anime, we only know that he is Japan’s strongest hunter, but we have not actually seen him fight yet. That is about to change in Solo Leveling Episode 22, where he will go up against Sung Jinwoo in a practice battle.

Major Spoilers From Solo Leveling Episode 22
Japan S-Rank Hunters vs Korean S-Rank Hunters
Solo Leveling Episode 22 will adapt Chapters 92-96. The Korean Hunter Association has given full access to their gymnasium for both Korean and Japanese S-Rank Hunters to train before the Jeju Island raid. According to Episode 21, there are only 4 days left until the 4th Jeju Island Raid begins.
After Sung Jinwoo returns from the Demon Castle and cures his mother, he visits Go Gunhee. While there, he learns that the S-Rank hunters are training nearby.
Go Gunhee takes him to the gym, where he sees Baek Yoonho fighting Ma Dongwook while Cha Hae-In and Lim Tae-Gyu are also present.

Soon after, Japan’s S-Rank Hunters arrive, and both sides decide to have a sparring match. This match is a 4v4 battle between the S-Rank hunters of both countries.
4v4 Sparring Match – Korea vs. Japan
Korea’s S-Rank Hunters:
- Baek Yoonho
- Ma Dongwook
- Cha Hae-In
- Lim Tae-Gyu
Japan’s S-Rank Hunters (Draw Sword Guild):
- Atsushi Kumamoto
- Kanae Tawata
- Kenzo Tanaka
- Minoru Hoshino
Goto Ryuji sits this match out.

Sung Jinwoo vs. Goto Ryuji
During the sparring match, Cha Hae-In goes a little too hard on Atsushi Kumamoto, which makes him angry. He loses control and starts attacking Cha Hae-In with the intent to kill. But before things can get worse, Sung Jinwoo steps in and easily disarms him.
Seeing this, Goto Ryuji is shocked. Everyone knows Sung Jinwoo is a mage-type hunter, but the way he moved made him look more like an assassin. This surprises Goto, so he challenges Sung Jinwoo to a fight.

Sung Jinwoo tells Goto to go all out, and their battle quickly gets intense. But things take a dark turn—Goto starts fighting with the intent to kill, forcing Sung Jinwoo to almost get serious. However, before the fight can reach its climax, Baek Yoonho and Cha Hae-In step in to stop Jinwoo. Since Goto is supposed to lead Japan’s hunters in the raid, they can’t afford for him to get injured before the mission.
Jeju Island Raid Begins in Solo Leveling Episode 22
Solo Leveling Episode 22 is finally bringing the Jeju Island Raid, and everything will start just as planned. The Japanese hunters will lure the ants out, while the Korean S-Rank hunters will head straight for the Ant Queen, taking down her guards along the way.
Since the Ant Queen is the only one who can reproduce, and ants only live for one year, if they manage to kill her, the entire ant colony will die out over time. It sounds like the perfect strategy, but will things really go that smoothly?
This episode is going to be huge, and by the end, the raid will begin as well. The official synopsis of Solo Leveling Episode 22 is revealed to be:
Jinwoo intervenes in the friendly match between the DFN and the S-Rank hunters, where he demonstrates undeniable strength in his battle against Liu Zhigang. However, he ultimately decides to decline participation in the Jeju Island Raid in order to stay by his recently awakened mother’s side.
The Fourth Jeju Island Raid begins without Jinwoo, and at first, it seems to be progressing smoothly thanks to the efforts of the top hunters. However…
